Full of autumnal flavors, a delicious filling and crunchy sprinkles, this quick applesauce cake is a feast for the senses with its delicate texture and really couldn't be easier to make!
Ingredients for 16 pieces
- 350 grams of wheat flour
- 250 grams butter, at room temperature
- 200 grams of sugar
- 2 apples
- 700 grams of applesauce without added sugar
- 1 pack of vanilla flavored pudding powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 TL Vanilleextrakt
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
preparation
- First grease a 26 cm diameter springform pan with a little butter and preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- To make the dough, whisk together the wheat flour and baking powder in a bowl.
- Add sugar and butter and use a mixer to make crumbles.
- Pour about 2/3 of the dough into the baking pan and spread it evenly over the base.
- Press down a small edge with a spoon.
- Prick the dough several times with a fork and pre-bake in the oven for 15 minutes.
- In the meantime, prepare the applesauce filling. To do this, bring the applesauce to the boil in a small pot.
- Peel the apples, divide them into thin slices and spread half of them on the base.
- Mix the pudding powder with a little milk and add it to the applesauce. Stir well, add cinnamon and vanilla extract and remove from heat.
- Spread the filling evenly on the base, spread the apples on top and cover with the remaining crumbles.
- Bake the applesauce cake for another 30 minutes and let it cool completely.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream if you like and you're done - it's that easy to make a quick cake with applesauce.
