Ingredients:

For the shortcrust pastry:

  • 200 g wheat flour
  • 125 g Butter

  • 1 egg white

  • 1-2 tbsp lemon juice
  • green food coloring (powder)

Preparation:

  • Knead the cold butter, flour, sugar, vanilla sugar and egg into a dough and cover with cling film. Let it rest in the fridge for about 3o minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with baking paper. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 5 mm, cut out the cookies with a clover cutter and place them on the baking tray. Bake the cookies for about 8-10 minutes and let them cool completely.
  • Make royal icingand decorate the cookies using a piping bag.

Tip: If you can't find clover cutters, you can put together the lucky clovers from three or four small heart cookies.

For the muffins:

  • 1 box vanilla cake mix
  • 3 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 115g soft butter
  • 200 ml milk, full fat

  • 700g powdered sugar
  • 3 TL for Van
  • 6 tbsp whipped cream
  • pink food coloring
  • Piping bag with different nozzles

Preparation of the muffins:

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, butter, milk and vanilla extract.
  • Fill the muffin cups 3/4 full.
  • Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes.
  • Remove the muffins and let them cool completely before decorating.

Preparation of the glaze:

  • Mix all the ingredients for the glaze in a stand mixer or with a hand mixer on medium speed. Mix until the glaze has stiff peaks.
  • Remove about 2-3 tablespoons of the glaze and place in a medium bowl.
  • In the large mixing bowl, add 2 drops of pink food coloring and stir until well combined. You want to get a light pink color.
  • In the medium bowl, stir in 4-5 drops of pink gel food coloring until combined.
  • Cut the tips off the piping bags and insert the nozzles.

Instructions for decorating:

  • Using an ice cream scoop, pipe some frosting onto the top of the cupcake.
  • Use a spatula to smooth out the icing.
  • Using a round tip, pipe an oval dollop of frosting onto the bottom part of the cupcake to form the nose.
  • Pipe two dots for the eyes using black icing.
  • Pipe two lines for the nostrils on the nose with dark pink icing.
  • Then pipe two leaves for the “ears” onto the top corners.
  • Finally, pipe smaller leaves for the inside of the ear.

Ingredients:

For the yeast dough:

  • 400 g wheat flour
  • 1 packet of instant dry yeast (7 g)
  • 1 No
  • 200 ml natural yogurt
  • 100 ml warm milk
  • 1 pinch of salt

For the puff pastry:

  • 150 g Flour
  • 100 g butter, soft
  • 1 pinch of salt

For the filling:

  • Cheese
  • Tomato sauce
  • Oregano
  • Salt

For gluing and painting:

  • 1 egg white
  • 1 egg yolk
  • some milk

Preparation:

  • First prepare the yeast dough. Put all the ingredients in the bowl of an electric mixer and knead well. The dough should be soft but not sticky.
  • Form the dough into a ball and let it rise for at least 1 hour.
  • In the meantime, knead all the ingredients for the puff pastry together.
  • As soon as the yeast dough has risen, add the puff pastry and knead well.
  • Roll out the mixed dough to a thickness of approx. 3 mm and cut out circles with a diameter of 6 cm. Also cut out smaller circles (3 cm in diameter) that you will need for the noses and ears. To make the ears, simply quarter the smaller circles.
  • For the filling, mix the tomato sauce with a little salt and oregano.
  • To assemble the pork rolls, place half of the large circles on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Put 1 teaspoon of tomato and oregano sauce and a small piece of cheese in the middle. Brush the edges with a little egg white and place the other half of the large circles on top. Press with your fingers so that they close well.
  • Now attach the nose and ears with some egg white. You can use some cumin for the eyes and nostrils.
  • Let the yeast rolls rise for another 30 minutes, then brush with egg yolk mixed with a little milk.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 190-200 °C for about 15 minutes.

Horseshoe cookies to eat as a good luck charm on New Year's Eve

Ingredients:

  • 400 g wheat flour

  • Bake the cookies at 180°C for about 8 minutes.
  • Remove the horseshoe cookies from the oven and let them cool completely.
  • Melt the chocolate in a water bath and dip the ends of the cookies in the chocolate.
  • Place the horseshoe cookies on a baking rack and let them rest until the chocolate has hardened.
