Preparing plum muffins: The best dessert recipe for the whole family!

These simple plum muffins motivated and surprised us because plums are in season and because many people eat them with ice cream or jam as a dessert!

Full-fat yogurt is used for these delicious and moist muffins. The other ingredients for the dessert give them a nice crunch and finishing touch.

Strawberries, blueberries and raspberries are just some of the fruits that are also good forthis dishsuitable. If you want to use white sugar instead, just swap it out for the brown one. Here's how to make this delicious dessert!

Ingredients

  • 16 plums
  • 2 EL Honig
  • 125 g butter (room temperature)
  • 150g brown sugar
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 TL Vanilleextrakt
  • 1 tsp orange peel
  • 2 Owner
  • 250 g Flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 125 g Yoghurt

preparation

  1. After washing the fruit, cut it in half and carefully remove the seeds. You can cut each half into two or three pieces. Soak the fruit slices in a mixture of two tablespoons of honey for 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and prepare a 12-cup muffin tin.
  3. Mix the flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl with a whisk and set the mixture aside.
  4. In another bowl, beat the butter, sugar, orange zest and vanilla until fluffy. Stir in the eggs one at a time.
  5. Stir the dry ingredients into the butter mixture in three batches, alternating with the yogurt, until just incorporated. The dough should not be mixed too much. Then fill the dough into the muffin tin.
  6. Spread the drained fruit over the dough and press lightly to incorporate.
  7. Bake your muffins for about 25 minutes.
  8. Remove the muffins from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack for about 10 minutes. You can then drizzle a fruit syrup over the muffins and serve.
