Nendo cutlery set “Skeleton” – minimalist, functional and unconventional

Axel Van Den Bosschee and Veerle Wenes founded the Antwerp design label Valerie Objects, which offers a unique collection of everyday objects with unusual aesthetics. This unconventional label symbolizes the personal styles of designers, architects and artists translated into tangible objects. In today's post we would like to present you the latest Nendo cutlery set “Skeleton”, designed for the Belgian furniture and home accessories brand Valerie Objects. As with all products from the Japanese studio Nendo, the talented designers have been no less imaginative in their latest project.

The Nendo cutlery set “Skeleton” consists of a spoon, a fork, a knife and a teaspoon, which result in high functionality and less material waste. The cutlery is “skeleton”.reduced to the absolute minimum. The set is limited to a thin outline shape, limiting the amount of material used without compromising functionality. The outlines of the extraordinary Nendo cutlery are reminiscent of the image of a skeleton that can be seen on an X-ray.

The reduction of the shape allows the Japanese designers to design the cutlery set so that it can be hung and stored in various places in the kitchen. The fascinating four pieces can be hung on the edge of cups and bowls. The cutlery has thin handles and impresses with unexpected bends in the lines. Perfectly balanced and withNegative Spacedesigned in the middle, the knife consists only of a handle and a blade.

The attractive Nendo cutlery set has its own special stand and practical wall hooks. You can also hang the cutlery on the wall and display it as a work of art. The set is offered with a premium PVD coating in four different colors - silver, black, copper and gold. The surface of the “Skeleton” cutlery is scratch- and dirt-repellent. The stainless steel cutlery is dishwasher safe.
