If you simply don't have space next to your desk to set up additional cabinets or shelves, you should choose a desk that combines both a large work surface and plenty of storage space. Such a table is sometimes not only difficult to find, but in most cases it is also very expensive. But don't worry, you can also easily build a similar piece of furniture. And to help you with this, today we will show you instructions with which you can build your own desk yourself without much effort or resources.

Measure the double shelves to determine how wide the table top needs to be. You can now also determine the distance between these and the third shelf. Think about how long you want the desk to be and how much legroom you want and need. Then measure the required length of the future table top.
Tip: Make the table top a little larger so that it protrudes. This means you don't have to worry about whether the panel is cut perfectly. It also makes the table look better.
You can easily have the table top cut to size at the hardware store. You can also use your stay there to get the paint.
Before you start painting, you should sand the table top well. Then apply the colored varnish. After the first coat dries, apply a second coat. With the polyurethane varnish, you apply two coats. But don't forget to let the paint dry thoroughly after each coat.
After the last layer of paint has dried, you can finally start assembling the individual parts. To attach the two shelves together, use flat connectors. You then screw the table top onto the shelves using angle connectors.
And with that you are finished with the construction. If you want, you can also add a few more doors to the shelf located at the back or close them in some other way so that the inside is not visible to everyone.
All that's left is to find a suitable place, if you haven't already determined it, and then arrange all the folders, folders and possible devices. Now look how neat your office area looks right now.
