House with a glass front to the terrace: Modern villa in the middle of nature

The babbling of streams, birdsong and the sound of wind: living in the middle of nature is an absolute dream for many. This dream has come true for one family - we present you a modern villa located in the middle of a forest area. In keeping with the picturesque area, the homeowners wanted to create their own oasis of peace and serenity and marvel at the beautiful nature without having to forego the comforts of a single-family home. The end result not only fascinates with a modern facade design, but also scores with environmentally friendly architecture. The passive house with a glass front offers everything you would expect from a holiday home and much more: we present you the bridge house.

House with a glass front: Modern facade made of concrete, natural stone and glass

The talented architects at ArchLab were tasked with creating a contemporary, modern buildingto plan and create for a family. According to the homeowner's specifications, a stream was to be created on the property. The rippling water undoubtedly has a calming effect, but combined with the gently sloping terrain, it presented a challenge to the architect.

In the end, they decided on two individual building volumes - the first, larger one will accommodate the family, while the second will serve as a guest house. A covered concrete garden path creates the connection between the two houses. So nothing stands in the way of a comfortable holiday for more than eight people.

Environmentally friendly construction

The environmentally friendly construction also promises a pleasant stay: the architects have tried to incorporate nature. For example, instead of having the conifers cut down, they designed the terrace around them. The spacious terrace on the southern side of the house, laid with recycled wood, promises many pleasant hours outdoors. Part of the terrace is covered - garden furniture made of weatherproof materials forms a comfortable lounge corner, while the outdoor wood-burning fireplace provides pleasant warmth on the cool summer evenings.

The house with a glass front opens to the south towards the beautiful landscape and lets the warm rays of sunshine into the living rooms. Translucent curtains offer thisnecessary privacy protectionand at the same time shield the living and sleeping areas from prying eyes. The glass facade has several doors so that the garden is accessible from all rooms. Towards the north, however, the villa is closed - the concrete walls, partly clad in natural stone, protect against the strong winds in autumn and winter.

The small front garden was designed as close to nature as possible - local plants make it appear natural. Only the lawn allows guests to guess that this is a deliberately landscaped landscape. Nevertheless, the end result is fascinating and fits harmoniously into the surroundings.

The room design

The inside of the house also impresses with its glass front - marble, floorboards and high-quality textiles - nothing was spared in the furnishings. Although at first glance the interior may look spartan, upon closer inspection it turns out to be onepuristic beauty, where the choice of materials dominates the living image.

The subtle color scheme in natural nuances forms the perfect background and allows the stylish mix of materials to be better showcased. At the same time, the white walls and ceiling relax the eyes and, together with the dark wooden floor, create a cozy atmosphere where the residents can relax after a long trip.

The furniture is deliberately kept to a minimum so that the villa looks spacious. In the living room with adjoining kitchen and dining area, the fireplace forms the center of communication - a leather armchair and a sofa offer enough seating for all family members and their guests.

The white, purist kitchen landscape with high-gloss fronts and marble-look kitchen back wall is equipped with all the necessary kitchen appliances. This way the family can end the evening cooking.

The sunny bedrooms and bathrooms promise pure relaxation

In the back of the one-story building, behind a concrete facade, the private area is well shielded from prying eyes. And yet both the bathrooms and the bedrooms have a beautiful view. Generously glazed window fronts allow sufficient sunlight into the large bedroom for the parents. A king size double bed promises pure relaxation on rainy weekends or after a long walk in the forest.

The spacious bathroom is a real oasis in the middle of nature - open to the garden, the sunny bathroom offers everything you need for a real spa experience - the free-standing bathtub next to the window and the glass shower leave nothing to be desired.

Up to three friends can be accommodated in the guest house - they have a living area with a small kitchen to themselves, and two bedrooms that share a bathroom. It is the perfect weekend home even when the children grow up and come to visit with their families.

The Bridge House is an excellent example of modern architecture that fits harmoniously into the landscape and offers all the advantages of a passive house - saving on electricity costs in the winter months. Houses with glass facades in particular are difficult to heat in winter. The excellent seal and the high-quality materials are an absolute must in this case. The architects from Archlab mastered the task brilliantly and presented a stylish and practical design.
