A tree house with a difference – this is how the project by the talented architects from D12 Design can be described. The prefabricated holiday home not only scores points with its beautiful location and stylish facade design with glass - the villa also turns out to be a quiet beauty inside. Its high, wood-clad ceiling, the solid floor and the charming furnishings in a modern country house style ensure a feel-good atmosphere. The natural material is present everywhere in the interior - the wood on the wall, for example, creates a seamless transition between the living and sleeping areas and rounds off the living image.
Wood on the wall – the prefabricated house from D12 scores with its stylish facade design
The architects from D12 Design were tasked with completing a holiday home for a couple. The property is located deep in a forest area in Vietnam - the beautiful nature with tall deciduous and coniferous trees inspired the architects to create onemodern buildingwith a richly glazed facade. At the same time, the sloping terrain posed a major challenge. All the more so - the builders set the requirement for environmentally friendly construction. The only possible solution in this case was the prefabricated house - made from several panels that are then simply assembled on site. The architects specifically selected materials with a low weight per square meter and built the house on steel beams.
It consists of two building volumes - both look out onto the forest and have access to the natural stone terrace with a concrete garden pond. There the family can entertain friends or relax on weekends under the cooling shade of the tall trees. As far as the facade is concerned, the one-story villa is primarily designed to be practical. A gable roof successfully drains rainwaterabundantly glazedThe south-west and east sides allow plenty of sunlight and fresh air into the living and sleeping areas. Opaque curtains made of cotton provide privacy. The external walls are plastered and painted with water-repellent facade paint. In addition, the house is protected from the strong rays of the sun and wind by the nearby trees.
The absolute highlight in the outdoor area is the safety net, which successfully replaces the balcony. It is definitely a sustainable alternative, as this construction method preserves the trees that grow directly in front of the house. Another crucial advantage is the low weight of the net. It is accessible from both the living room and the bedroom. Floor-to-ceiling sliding sliding doors seamlessly connect the inside and outside, allowing residents to truly enjoy the home's convenient location in the middle of nature.
The natural material as a connecting element indoors
Inside, the house also impresses with a simple but very stylish aesthetic - the narrow and long living area is divided into three zones - a small reading corner directly in front of the window is formed by a red floor lamp, designer armchairs with soft cotton upholstery and a wooden chest of drawers. Native houseplants create a cozy atmosphere. Just off the sitting area is a hand-woven stool, a glass coffee table and a three-seater sofa bed. The shaggy carpet in a trendy anthracite color visually separates this area from the reading corner. The architects have furnished the house with the ultimate in living comfort in mind - and in accordance with the needs of the young couple, the living area is equipped with a small log kitchen.
The kitchen landscape is made of light wood and in this way fits harmoniously into the overall picture - wood serves as a connecting element and is present on the ceiling, as well as on the walls and on the floor. The grain of the natural material simply catches the eye and gives the interior a charming country house character.
The bedroom is puristically furnished with a double bed, small desk and chair. Up to four people can easily be accommodated in the house. So the couple can invite 2 friends as guests. So nothing stands in the way of pleasant evenings outdoors. It is the perfect weekend house in the middle of nature - comfortably and at the same time stylishly furnished, equipped with everything you need (air conditioning, refrigerator and, if desired, television). The costs are also kept within reasonable limits since the house is first prefabricated in a hall anyway. In this way it is possible to stick to the budget set at the beginning.
The house in Vietnam is therefore definitive proof of the numerousAdvantages of prefabricated houses, especially in protected, difficult-to-access areas. The modern design also offers other advantages - the manageable costs, the numerous design options, the low weight, the quick assembly (it usually takes place over a weekend). But the architects from D12 Design even went one step further - they integrated a safety net into the project so that they didn't have to cut down the trees around the house. A well-thought-out environmentally friendly concept that promotes nature conservation.
