Smart home devices ensure a feel-good climate in the “Camppinus” holiday homes in Poland

Pre-program the music and air conditioning, control the lighting at the touch of a button and regulate the heating using voice commands - the smart home devices can do all this and much more. In the age of digitalization, many houses are equipped with them, but they are still a rarity in hotels. But that is about to change, as several new high-tech projects prove that contemporary architecture and modern technology can go hand in hand. An excellent example of this are the “Camppinus” holiday homes in Poland.

Behind the puristic facade there is an environmentally friendly holiday home

The talented interior designers at mode:lina were tasked with creating an eco-friendly interior. At the same time, nothing should be missing in the house. The developers wanted to offer the highest level of living comfort for both shorter and longer stays. The idyllic location and an existing building (a barn) on the property inspired the architects to create their design. The holiday homes fascinate with onestylish facade designwith dark wood and plenty of glazed fronts. Sliding glass doors seamlessly connect the indoors with the outdoors. The living room, which looks out onto the garden, flows into the adjoining terrace. If the weather is bad, the family can sit on the comfortable sofa and chat or, if the weather is good, they can end the evening with a barbecue outside. But behind the puristic facade there is a real high-tech house.

Smart home devices save energy and increase living comfort

The simple facade and the puristic interior design make it hard to guess that a smart home is hidden behind the wooden walls. The high-tech building technology offers comprehensive solutions for heating, cooling, shading and multimedia. This means residents can adapt the basic equipment individually to their needs and control it remotely or pre-program it.

A special app also offers guests the opportunity to plan excursions. It provides information about nearby attractions and offers numerous cycle routes to download. If you don't like cycling and don't feel like hiking, you can explore the surrounding area in an electric car.

Eco-friendly holiday homes with a cozy interior

The puristic interior gives the country house charm of the high-tech holiday homes. The floor is laid with local wood, the walls and ceilings are covered with the same wood. Individual walls and furniture are painted black to create contrasts in the living area and visually divide the room into several zones. The ground floor is divided into three areas. Right next to the living room is a kitchen with a dining area for four. Behind the kitchen, a small sleeping area is separated by a glass wall. Another bedroom is on the second floor. All rooms have floor-level windows that allow plenty of sunlight into the rooms and at the same time provide a view of the nearby forest.

The furniture is sparse, but very tasteful and chosen to match the living concept. All seating is upholstered with soft natural materials, the tables and the kitchenette are made of solid wood. Even the tiles on the kitchen floor are made of natural stone. The architects deliberately avoided using strong colors: black and white form a stylish color duo, while the yellowish grain of the oak wood gives the interior a fresh touch.
