On a rolling ridge in the mountains of Utah sits an impressive home clad in cedar. Red Hawk House is a private residence in Park City home to a family of talented designers. The architecture of the house is adapted to the surroundings by the architects from Imbue Design, so that you can make the most of the spectacular views. The cozy outdoor areas and wide terraces offer a breathtaking view that impresses in every season. The cedar wood facade of the house is in harmony with the natural surroundings in spring, summer and autumn and creates a beautiful contrast to the snow-covered mountains in winter.
The material used in the construction of the house is known as Western Red Cedar. This type of wood is one of the North American softwoods and isoften used in exterior construction. Its brown color exudes naturalness and harmonizes perfectly with the natural landscape. In winter, however, it forms a sharp contrast to the white snow. In this way, the house in the mountains is beautifully presented. The cedar wood facade is particularly weatherproof and can withstand large temperature fluctuations, which is why the architects chose it.
For the summer months the house is equipped with a wide veranda that runs around the house. There, residents can enjoy meals, relax with a book in the afternoon, or simply enjoy the breathtaking views. In addition to the veranda, the mountain house also has a spacious outdoor area that is comfortably furnished. The garden is designed like a courtyard in the middle of the house and is therefore protected from the strong wind. AOutdoor living roomaccommodates residents when it rains and can be transformed into a cozy room with a view using sliding doors when temperatures drop in winter.
Inside the house has oneopen living spacewith dining area and kitchen that perfectly suits the family's dynamic lifestyle. The large bedroom is designed with a private bathroom and of course offers spectacular mountain views. Since the owners are designers by profession, the architects have designed a small separate workshop where they can really get creative.
