What happens when American pop culture, Japanese iconography and French savoir-faire come together? Probably the most sought-after collaboration of the year! To mark the 20th anniversary of their first collaboration, Louis Vuitton and the Japanese artist Takashi Murakami (62) are presenting a three-part new edition of their collaboration.
Back then, the French maison offered the Tokyo native carte blanche around its iconic Monogram design, bringing the fashion and art worlds together in a playful way. A multicolor version of the iconographic logo canvas was created - with 33 colors! Today they are all sought-after collector's items.

Iconic and a must-have guarantee: The designs from the Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami collection, from €90 for a notebook
Murakami proposed the term “superflat” as a form of contemporary culture in his dissertation “The Meaning of the Nonsense of the Meaning.” With “Superflat” he wants to draw attention to what he perceives as the superficiality of modern Japanese society. “I believe that art can change the world,” says the artist. Takashi Murakami is a virtuoso cross-border artist - the new collaboration with Louis Vuitton proves this once again.
