We took a look at a hyped product from Sol de Janeiro that sells every six seconds and smells like pistachio. We love it already.

I allowed myself to be influenced. I admit it. The social media hype surrounding the “Sol de Janeiro” brand, which has been going on for some time, has now caught me too. Although I have often sneaked past the colorful jars and bottles of the US cosmetics brand in the perfumery, each time I had a different mission that ultimately made me forget to test one or other of the brand's products. Until now.

My first choice fell on the brand's absolute star product: theBrazilian Bum Bum Cream*. According to the manufacturer, the product will be sold worldwide every six seconds. But what makes the cream a favorite of the masses?

An absolute bestseller: The Bum Bum Cream from Sol de Janeiro

The sunny yellow, round, large jar (240 ml) with the thick, white lid catches my eye and greets me with the inscription “Brazilian Bum Bum Cream”.

When screwed on, there is a cream in a very soft yellow tone hidden inside. Even as I put the lid aside to test the cream, a sweet, warm scent comes out of the can, which simply smells incredibly delicious.

The scent “Cheirosa 62” (Cheirosa in Brazil means smelling incredibly delicious) is a mix of pistachio, vanilla and salted caramel. To describe the scent somehow and without exaggerating: This is what summer, sun, vacation actually smells like to me.

That's what got me with the scentProduct* already made a fan. The question remains, what else can the cream do other than smell good? First of all: It is easy to spread, absorbs quickly and does not leave a greasy film on the skin.

My skin feels much softer and smoother than before. By the way, that’s also the manufacturer’s promise. Certain ingredients are responsible for this feeling on the skin. Namely cupuaçu butter, açaí and coconut oil.

DieCreme* also contains guarana. The fruit of this Amazonian plant contains one of the most powerful forms of caffeine and is said to tighten the skin. However, I can't judge that (yet).

Another feature of the cream: It is said to give the skin a subtle glow. That's actually true. Somehow my skin looks a little more even on my legs.

My conclusion:Great cream with a fantastic scent that is easily absorbed and leaves skin very soft. If you like sweet summer scents, you will love this scent or you should like the scent because it stays on the skin for a long time and doesn't fade away so quickly.

The scent “Cheirosa 62” is not only available as a body cream, but also as a perfume spray, for example. The brand also has other fragrances in its range, all of which have been tried and tested on TikTok.
