Sometimes you just need onesmall souvenir, a small, tasty gift to make someone happy. Asmall, which everyone is happy about - but at the same timemade easyis. Small gifts from the kitchen are ideal for this, because, as the saying goes:Love goes through the stomach. Here are jams, chutneys, aromatic oils, but alsoand chocolates are a popular choice. My favorite this year:Almonds and hazelnuts in a chocolate coating. Everyone likes these sweet treats and they are surprisingly easy to make - and simply heavenly delicious!

The little oneschocolate-covered nutsThey even look really pretty and professional, even though they are amazingare. Out ofroasted nuts, melted chocolate, something, cocoa and powdered sugar, the delicious sweets are created - in less than an hour. And you can make larger quantities for all the lovely neighbors and colleagues - and yes, my colleagues were very happy about the sweet treat this week.

The most delicious gift from the kitchen: How to prepare the almonds and hazelnuts in chocolate

This is how the hazelnuts with cocoa shell turn out

Ingredients for the hazelnuts with cocoa shell:

    • 100 g hazelnuts
    • 50 g dark chocolate
    • 25 g whole milk chocolate
    • 10g powdered sugar
    • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
    • 15-20 g cocoa powder (mixture of baking cocoa and for mixing)
    1. Spread the hazelnuts on a baking tray and roast them in a preheated oven at 170 degrees for 8 minutes. Then let it cool down briefly.
    2. Break the chocolate into small pieces and melt over a water bath. Once the chocolate has melted, stir in the powdered sugar, vanilla sugar and approx. 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon.
    3. Then stir the hazelnuts into the chocolate and, when they are all coated in chocolate, spread them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
    4. In the meantime, sift the cocoa powder with the remaining cinnamon and pour into a large bowl.
    5. Allow the nuts to dry until the chocolate is only slightly moist and then add them to the cocoa powder and shake until all the nuts are coated in the cocoa.
    6. Allow the hazelnuts to dry completely and give them as gifts in an airtight container or snack on them yourself.

This is how you make the chocolate almonds in a powdered sugar coating

    • 25 g whole milk chocolate
    • 30g powdered sugar
    • 1 tsp cinnamon
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
    1. Spread the almonds on a baking tray and roast them in a preheated oven at 170 degrees for 8 minutes. Then let it cool down briefly.
    2. Break the chocolate into small pieces and melt over a water bath. Once the chocolate has melted, stir in 10 g powdered sugar, vanilla sugar and approx. 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon.
    3. Then stir the almonds into the chocolate and, when they are all coated in chocolate, spread them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
    4. In the meantime, sift the remaining 20 g of powdered sugar with the remaining cinnamon and pour into a large bowl.
    5. Let the nuts dry until the chocolate is only slightly moist and then add them to the powdered sugar and shake until all the nuts are coated in the sugar.
    6. Allow the almonds to dry completely and give them as gifts in an airtight container or snack on them yourself.

Tipp:If you want to prepare both versions, you can roast both nuts on separate trays, but thePrepare chocolate for both types together. Then put the hazelnuts and almonds in separate bowls and add half the chocolate to each. Then let the types dry separately and then mix the different cocoa or powdered sugar mixtures. After coating, you can mix the varieties as you wish or give them separately as gifts.
