BAMBI 2024: These 3 German series are nominated for “Best Series of the Year” – vote now!

On November 7th it's finally that time again: for the 73rd timeBAMBIawarded for great film and television moments. While the majority of the award winners are selected by an expert jury, there is one category that will once again be placed in the hands of the public this year.You at home should decide which series is the “Best Series of the Year”.. There are three German productions to choose from, all of which deserve to take home the golden deer. There was no question of an easy decision.

It's not easy for us to decide on a new series while sitting on the couch at home - the selection is too big and "unfortunately" too good. This makes the challenge of choosing the “Best Series of the Year” from three truly brilliant series all the greater. This year there are three contenders for the popular BAMBI category:,The doubtersandCrooks– three German productions that couldn’t be more different, but have one thing in common: they’re all damn good. Because we couldn't come to an agreement anyway, we won't even try and will just pass the responsibility on to you. The plot revolves around a large Jewish family living in Frankfurt. When the family patriarch, Symcha Zweifler (played by Mike Burstyn), wants to sell his large deli empire, tensions arise within the family. It's about intrigue, turf wars, love and suffering, which quickly bring the supposedly ideal world of the doubters to collapse. The ARD series was praised by the BAMBI jury for its talented cast, the precisely drawn characters and the exciting insight into a Jewish life that has rarely been seen before.
