Sometimes just watching a movie on the TV isn't enough. Imagine what it would be like with a big screen and a powerful oneHowever, that's it for onestill far from done.We have put together a five-step guide to the perfect home cinema for beginners so that you can enjoy the film to the fullest. But let's get one thing straight: It doesn't have to be a really big set-up that makes your neighbors jump out of bed at night. We'll show youwhere it is worth investing and where you can also save money.
1. The right room for your home theater
Not every apartment and not every room is really suitable for a home cinema. Ideally, you should choose a room with little natural light and few distractions. The room should not be too big to optimize the acoustics, but also not too small so that you have enough space for the technology and comfortable seating. A rule of thumb: 15 to 30 square meters is ideal. Remember: If possible, the sofa or armchairs should not be placed directly against the wall, but rather at a generous distance from it. This will be important later when setting up the sound.
2. The screen – TV or projector?
The next step is choosing the right screen. Here you basically have two options: a large television or a projector with a screen. A TV is usually the easier choice - it requires little preparation and offers instant, high-quality images. A cinema experience usually starts at 60 inches. A projector, on the other hand, offers an even greater experience as it allows you to project a huge image onto the wall - almost as in. However, a projector also needs appropriate wall space, a dark environment and usually a special screen - at least that maximizes the image quality. When it comes to a projector, you don't have to go into absolute expense. There are now very good compact ones, which provide a fantastic picture. Upper middle class would be the new oneEF-22B Mini-BeamervonEpson. It can be rotated 360 degrees, adjusts the image in a matter of seconds and, thanks to Google TV, works like a smart TV including Netflix, Amazon Prime and Co.

Sub 4Image is one thing, but sound makes all the difference. A high-quality sound system is crucial to completing the home theater experience. A simple stereo system is not enough here as it cannot provide the full surround feeling. It's worth not skimping on the surround system; it's the most important aspect of the home cinema, ahead of the screen. A 5.1 surround sound system ensures authentic sound reproduction that makes you feel like you're right in the middle of the action. This is ensured by five speakers and oneSubwoofer. However, good soundbars can now at least replace the front three speakers. We recommend sticking with one manufacturer and, if possible, choosing a system that can be integrated into the WiFi network. For example, you can find a perfect entry-level set-up atSonos. DieSonos Arc Ultrain combination with the new oneSub 4and twoEra 300Speakers for the two rear satellite speakers is an incredibly powerful sound system that can compete with any hi-fi system. If you want to take it to the extreme, combine a second one
Subwoofer included. Then you should really hold your popcorn bowl very tightly.Tipp:

4. Comfortable Seating – Comfort for long movie nights
A home theater is only as good as the seating options you choose for it. Comfortable armchairs or a cozy sofa are essential to comfortably enjoy films and series for hours. Make sure the seating is a comfortable distance from the screen and provides the right view. A rule of thumb: The distance to the TV or screen should be approx. 1.5 times as large as the diagonal of the image.

Philips Hue5. Not to be underestimated: the lightingThe right lighting is crucial for the ambience in your home cinema. Too much light can disrupt your enjoyment of the film, while too little light can strain your eyes. Dimmable lighting is actually a basic requirement. Ceiling light is an absolute no-go. Instead, opt for floor lamps, floor lamps or indirect lighting. Use smart lights that you can dim via the app to create the perfect atmosphere at any time. Offers a particularly large selection
. The lamps and light bulbs can all be connected to each other and even to the television. This means your home cinema can extend beyond the edge of the screen to create an immersive cinema experience.
