Accordingly, detox water is said to have a cleansing effect on the body.

When it comes to recipes for detox water, there are no limits. Anything that tastes good and is full of important nutrients can be included. The most popular types of detox water are mint, cucumber or lemon. Depending on the ingredient selected, the taste changes, of course, but also the effect on the body. All you need to make your own detox water is: a large carafe, water and at least one fresh ingredient of your choice! 1. Detox water with cucumber
Ingredients for the detox water with cucumber:
- 1 Lettuce
- 1.5 liters of water (or as much as fits in the carafe)
- Optional: lemon or lime for an extra portion of freshness
Preparation of detox water with cucumber:
First wash the cucumber thoroughly. The shell can either be cut off or not. That's up to you. Then cut the cucumber into very thin slices. The thinner the slices, the more flavor is released. Now place the cucumber slices in a carafe or container and add the water. Then let the whole thing steep for at least two hours, but ideally overnight, so that even more flavor ends up in the water. It's that easy to make your own detox water. If you like, add a few thin slices of lemon (washed!). This turns it into cucumber-lemon water in no time. Looks nice and tastes good.

- 1-2 lemons

The most popular detox water is probably the one with lemon. The citrus fruit is known to have a detoxifying effect, stimulates the metabolism and at the same time strengthens the immune system thanks to the extra portion of vitamin C. To do this, wash the lemons thoroughly. Then squeeze one of them and cut the other into thin slices. The pressed juice transfers even more vitamins directly into the water. So if you prefer the ultimate vitamin boost, it's best to squeeze both fruits at the same time. Vitamins are also released from the slices overnight. Nevertheless, they are more responsible for the appearance than for the intensive effect. Put everything in a bottle with the water and let it steep overnight again. If you like, add a few thin slices of ginger (washed!) to boost your metabolism even more and give the detox water an anti-inflammatory effect.
