One of the most surprising dress and skirt trend comebacks of the last few months? Definitely those with! In other words, dresses and skirts with an extremely puffy silhouette, which is also referred to as a “balloon” because it is visually reminiscent of it. The fashion designers are now continuing to spin this trend for the new season, and in addition to skirts in mini or midi length (Victoria Beckham), bubble shirts like Khaite's or entire bubble looks like Alaïa's are now conquering the collections. A tried and tested styling method makes the trend suitable for everyday use: playing with proportions. It's worth combining a narrow skirt with a voluminous top - and vice versa.

In other words, looks that were romantic but were then skilfully broken up by the black color or the combination with rough materials - for example at Saint Laurent, where a flowing black dress was combined with a leather jacket.

This will not change in spring/summer 2025 - but the trend will continue to develop. At Chanel, for example, these fabrics were layered in contrast with solid tweed - making the sheer trend surprisingly suitable for everyday wear.

minimalism andwere THE fashion keywords in recent seasons. The result: lots of clean cuts, reduced silhouettes, neutral colors... This season the exact opposite is being celebrated. This can also be seen in the trend trends already listed such as Boho and Dark Romance, which bring back ruffles and flounces. Also popular: sparkling (brocade) fabrics (Saint Laurent), dramatic silhouettes (Schiaparelli, Loewe) in summer and the “more is more” combination of several statement pieces.

In spring/summer 2025 they will form an important part of the, which continues to define the style thanks to the officewear look. The shoulders of the blazers in 2025 will be slightly less wide than in the previous year - but they will not radiate any less strength in their appearance. Even today, wide silhouettes stand for “taking up space” aka “not letting yourself be made small”.

Fashion designers now seem to take the saying “opposites attract” literally. Because a styling trick from exactly this category was omnipresent on the runways: the wrong jacket theory. This is very easy to implement, simply combine a jacket and dress that don't go together at first glance. For example, a bright windbreaker with a sequin dress (Louis Vuitton). Or a technical slip-on jacket with a sensual naked dress (The Attico). Despite the clash of materials, it looks tidy when the look is worn tone on tone (like Ralph Lauren).
