Decorating cookie cutters: 3 great ideas

The great thing about cookie cutters is that you can decorate them very creatively and in many different ways. Here are three quick ideas for which you don't need a steady hand:

#1 Paint cookie cutters

This decoration idea is perfect if you bake cookies with children. Instead of making a mess with icing, simply paint the cookies with food coloring pens. These pens look like normal felt-tip pens, you can paint like them, but their color is edible. You can use this to paint the finished, cooled cookies. Simply brilliant!

More about this:

#2 Stamp ornaments on cookies (before baking)

Would you like to cut out larger cookies instead of smaller cookies? Then you can decorate them with ornaments using a simple trick. For this you need one or more glasses with a relief on the bottom. For example, certain mustard jars are suitable. Simply cut out the cookies of a suitable size and press the glass base onto them.

#3 Decorate cookies with icing and wow sprinkles

If you want to attract a little more attention with your cookies, you should decorate them with icing and wow sprinkles. For homemade icing, simply mix 200 g of powdered sugar with 2-3 tablespoons of water or lemon juice until smooth.

Dip the cookies into the icing or use a small spoon to spread the icing over the cookies and then sprinkle with sprinkles. You can find unusual sprinkles, for examplehere on Amazon*.
