You will definitely suspect where the decadent "Devil's Food Cake" has his name from: it is simply sinfully tasty, juicy and intense chocolate. There is no crumb left over the next birthday or coffee cross - promised!
Recipe for a "Devil's Food Cake"
Chocolate cake with chocolate glaze? Sounds a bit exaggerated, but thanks to the dark chocolate coating in the ganache and the coffee in the cake dough, it is perfectly coordinated and nottosweet.
Important when baking the "Devil's Food Cakes": put your ingredients out a few hours before baking. Eggs, milk, butter and sour cream should allRoom temperaturehave.
Ingredients for a Devil's Food Cake
For the dough
- 240 g Mehl
- 2 TL Natron
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 TL baking powder
- 110 g soft butter
- 100 g Backcoa
- 120 ml neutral oil
- 350 g of sugar
- 3 eggs (size L)
- 1 TL Vanilleextrakt
- 120 g of acid cream
- 120 ml milk
- 240 ml of freshly brewed coffee
For the ganache
- 150 ml Sahne
- 175 g Dark couverture
- 75 g soft butter
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
This is how the sinfully delicious chocolate cake succeeds:
1. oven on175 degrees top/bottom heatPreheat.TwoRound the spring form my approx. 22 cm ⌀ (there is here at Amazon*) Line with baking paper.
2. Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl: flour, soda, salt and baking powder.
3. In a separate bowl, beat the soft butter creamy with a mixer on a high level. Mix the sifted cocoa powder and oil together in another bowl. Then add the open butter, vanilla extract and sugar. Mix for about 5 minutes on a medium level with the hand mixer to a creamy mass.
4. Then add the eggs to the mixing one after the other and work well into the dough each time.
5. Now add the flour mixture, milk and sour cream. Always add a third of the ingredients to the dough, carefully work in and repeat until everything is mixed together. Finally stir in the coffee and mix until a creamy dough is created.
6. Divide the dough into the two baking tins and for40 to 45 minutesPush in the oven. Let the finished cakes cool down. Loosen very carefully from the shapes and remove the baking paper.
7. In the meantime, prepare the ganache. Heat the cream in a small saucepan, then add chocolate, sugar and butter and stir until the chocolate has melted.
8. Spread some of the ganache on one of the cakes, then give the second cake on top, press it easily. Finally, brush the cake all around with the ganache. The glaze is quite liquid at first, but becomes firm as soon as it cools down. If you like, you can still take the finished cake with fresh berries - good appetite!
