"Skillet Cakes" are totally popular in the USA. The cakes are baked in a cast iron pan instead of a baking pan. They save the heat particularly well, which makes the cake really finished.
We were inspired by the cake trend and brought you a recipe for a super fast-and absolutely successful-strawberry cake from the pan. The dough is touched in no time, after that you just have to top it with fresh strawberries and almonds. Fluffy, fruity and a real eye -catcher at Sunday coffee. What should not be missing for baking is of course the right pan:

Recipe for a strawberry cake from the pan
It doesn't necessarily have to be strawberries for a brisk fruit cake from the pan. Let your imagination run free and try the recipe with blueberries, raspberries or cherries!
You need these ingredients:
- 60 g soft butter
- 200 g of sugar
- 1 egg (size L)
- 150 g Mehl
- 1/2 TL Vanilleextrakt
- 2-3 drops of bitter almond aroma
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 120 g of acid cream
- 300 g of fresh strawberries
- 1 tablespoon of almond leaves
- Optional: whipped cream and powdered sugar
And so the cake succeeds:
1. The oven on185 degrees top/bottom heatPreheat. Then grease a cast iron pan (25 cm in diameter).
Tipp:Do you have no cast iron pan or other heat -resistant pan? Alternatively, you can also take a round springform pan and baking paper. In this case you have to extend the baking time a little.
2. Butter and150 gMix from the sugar with a hand mixer for about 2 minutes. Add and mix the vanilla and almond extract as well as the egg.
3. In a separate bowl, mix the dry ingredients: flour, salt, baking powder. Add the whole thing to the butter mixture and stir in. Then stir in the sour cream until an even dough is created.
4. Pour the finished cake dough into the pan. Wash the strawberries, dry, cut them into slices and spread them on the cake. Sprinkle almond leaves and the other 50 g sugar over it. Then forthat. 35 MinutenPush in the oven. Serve lukewarm and optionally with a blob of cream.
