A oatmeal quark bread is the perfect basis for a delicious low carb breakfast, which is still fed up for a long time. In contrast to "normal" bread, it does not contain any flour, but thanks to lean curd and oatmeal, it contains a lot of protein. Ideal for everyone who wants to lose weight healthy.
Oatmeal bread with lean curd: simple recipe
Ingredients:
- 500 g of lean curd
- 250 g delicate oatmeal
- 250 g of robust oatmeal
- 2 Owner (gr. M)
- 2 packets of Weinstein baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
Preparation:
1. Preheat the oven and prepare shape:Heat your oven on180 ° C circulating airbefore. Put a box shape with baking paper or grease it slightly.
2. Mix dry ingredients: Mix oatmeal, salt and baking powder in a large bowl. Since there is a relatively large amount of baking powder in the dough, you should use Weinstein baked powder. It has less taste than normal baking powder and causes a better mouthfeel.
3. Add curd and eggs and knead:Next add the lean curd and eggs to the dry ingredients and knead everything well until a homogeneous dough is created.
5. Put the dough in the shape:Then form the dough into a bread ray and place it in the prepared box shape.
6. Bake bread:Bake the bread in the preheated oven for about 50–60 minutes until it is golden brown and firm.
7. Let cool and enjoy:Take the bread out of the oven and let it cool in the mold for about 10 minutes before you take it out of the mold.
Cut the bread into slices and serve it with spreads, cream cheese or simply pure.

Protein: 12 g
Kohlshydrate: 30 g
For comparison: A typical wheat bread has only about 8 g protein, 50 g of carbohydrates and approx. 250 calories on 100 g.
Pimping homemade protein bread
The great thing about the oatmeal quark bread: you can easily modify it and give it your personal flavors.
For healthy fats, for example, you can add a handful of chopped walnuts or hazelnuts to the dough. Pumpkin seeds are also a real superfood and taste great in bread.
Or you can replace part of the oatmeal with seeds and kernels such as flax seeds, sunflower seeds or chia seeds.
The homemade bread is well in an airtight container in the fridge and can also be frozen into slices to keep it fresh longer.
