The secret: cream and the double chocolate drenching in the form of liquid dark chocolate for the dark and chopped white chocolate for the bright dough. The cream and chocolate make the marble dough extensive and keep the desired moisture after baking.

Ingredients for a marble cake:

  • 250 g soft butter
  • 200 g of sugar
  • 1 TL vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 5 owner
  • 200 ml Sahne
  • 300 g Mehl
  • 3 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 200 g of dark chocolate
  • 100 g white chocolate

1. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C top/bottom heat and grease the cake shape with a separation spray or a little neutral vegetable oil.

2. Beat the sugar together with the salt, the vanilla extract and the butter until a light, creamy mass has arisen. If you don't have a vanilla extract at home, you can also use 2 packets of real vanilla sugar (not vanillin sugar!) Instead.

3. Now add the eggs one after the other and whip each egg vigorously for about 1 minute. Make sure that the dough looks nice and airy and bright. Is that the case, stir in the cream and mix in.

4. Mix the flour with the baking powder in a second bowl and add a fine sieve to the sugar-butter-make. To do this, switch on the food processor or hand mixer to a lower level and stir only until all the meal clumps have disappeared.Important:If the flour is stirred too long and too vigorously, the marble cake can end up in rubber -like.

5. Melt the dark chocolate in a water bath or with a low wattage (maximum 400 watts) in a microwave -proof shell in the microwave. Chop the white chocolate into rough pieces. Share the cake dough and put half in a second bowl.

6. Put the dark, melted chocolate in one half of the dough and carefully fold in. Place the white chocolate pieces in the other half of the dough and fold in.

7. Now put the light dough with the white chocolate pieces in the mold. Spread the dark marble cake dough on it. Put the typical marble pattern in with a wooden stick or a fork.

8. Bake the marble cake on the middle shelf at 180 ° C top/bottom heat for 50 minutes. With the chopstick test, test whether the cake is cooked inside. Still softly on the wooden stick, continue baking the cake for around 5 to 10 minutes.
