Panna Cotta: Creamy recipe for the Italian classic

Are you looking for a delicious dessert that always works? Then you should take a look at our recipe for panna cotta. The Italian dessert is a real classic and goes well with many menus. No matter whether you serve it as dessert on a warm summer evening or integrate it into your Christmas menu: Panna cotta is super quick to make and really tastes good to everyone.

The Italian cream requires just a few ingredients and can be easily modified to suit your taste. In the run-up to Christmas you can refine the panna cotta with cinnamon, for example. Below we will introduce you to two versions of the classic dessert. But first to the original recipe:

Panna cotta Original: This is how you make the classic at home

Before we start redesigning the delicious cream, we start with the classic basic recipe for panna cotta, which is traditionally made with strawberryis served.

Ingredients:

  • 400g Stage
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 100g sugar
  • 3 sheets of white gelatin
  • 400g strawberries

Preparation: This is how the basic recipe works

Mix the cream with 50 grams of sugar and the slit vanilla pod and pour into a saucepan. Bring to the boil while stirring for about 15 minutes. Then soak the gelatine in cold water. Meanwhile, remove the vanilla pod from the cream. Then squeeze out the gelatine and dissolve it in the cream.

The mixture can now be placed in a mold (hereshop on Amazon*) or a glass (there ishereat Amazon.*). The container in which you put the cream should be rinsed with cold water beforehand. Then the whole thing can be put in the fridge for at least two hours.

Meanwhile you can prepare the strawberry sauce. To do this, add the remaining 50 grams of sugar to the strawberries and pour both together into the blender or with a hand blender (for examplehereshop on Amazon*) edit. At the end, strain the mixture through a sieve again - the sauce is ready.

When the cream is thick enough, you can take it out of the fridge and pour the strawberry sauce over it. Finally, decorate the panna cotta with a few fresh strawberries and enjoy.

Vary according to your mood

Strawberries aren't exactly your favorite? There are no limits to the variation. Of course, you can also carry out the same procedure with raspberries, blueberries or other fruit. Depending on which fruit you like best.

But you can't just vary the fruit sauce, there's also leeway with the cream mixture. You love yours-Bar? There's also room for it in your panna cotta: Simply mix two tablespoons of milk with two teaspoons of matcha powder and add to the boiling cream.

Your panna cotta will be mint green and really looks great.

Variation for chocolate fans

If you're not into fruity desserts, you're guaranteed to get up. The panna cotta recipe can be modified accordingly.

To create a chocolaty panna cotta, you can add 100 grams of chocolate (70% cocoa) to the cream mixture while it is still simmering on the stove. Before the mixture goes into the fridge, you should let it cool down in the air this time. Because before it solidifies, you mix another 100 gramsunder.

Now you can also fill this cream and chocolate mix into molds and put it in the fridge and let it cool for three hours.

Even with the chocolate form of the dessert, it is up to you how you serve your panna cotta. Nuts, for example, taste good with this. Simply sprinkle this and some grated chocolate on top as a topping. It's finishedDessert.
