Is it allowed to put on make -up while driving?
We explain what can happen if you make up during the car driving and what rules are available.
Just pull in the lipstick, the eyelashes at night or powder a little blush - everything is fixed. Also in the car. Thanks to the back mirror. But is it also allowed to put on make -up in the car and just punch yourself up a little? We clarify.
The time was short, there was not enough time for make-up. Crap. So that we still get to your destination, we simply take the cosmetic bag into the car. And fetch on the way from A to B what we didn't get in the bathroom at home.
Of course, the car is not a dressing table. In the event of a beauty emergency, the space behind the steering wheel can be converted into a small beauty salon. A look into the rearview mirror is enough and you can pull the lipstick at the red traffic light or in the traffic jam, pussy the eyelashes or powder the face.
Alternatively, the mini mirror, which is hidden in some models behind the sun visor (sometimes even with light!), SOS aid. Wonderful.
But is it even allowed to put on make -up in the car? After all, there are strict traffic and conduct rules when driving. We clarify.

Is it allowed to put on make -up in the car?
Make up in the car works quite well. But only because brushes and powder works so wonderfully, it does not mean that it is also allowed, right?
In general, it is not forbidden to put on make -up for car. There is no rule in the Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) that specifically refers to the topics of make -up or styling in the car.
However,And that's very important, the topic of distraction is taken up in the StVO.
"Participation in road traffic requires constant caution and mutual consideration." (§ 1 paragraph 1Stvo)
"Anyone who leads a vehicle is responsible for the fact that their view and hearing are not affected by the occupation, animals, the cargo, devices or the condition of the vehicle." (Section 23 (1)Stvo)
This means that the driver should not work during the drive that distract him/her at the wheel or negatively influence his concentration on road traffic.
So if we dig in our cosmetic bag while driving and use the rearview mirror to put on make -up, this distracts us from driving. We take our hand from the wheel and look away from the street. This can be dangerous and, in the worst case, even lead to a traffic accident.
Further activities when driving, which are considered risky distractionsMobility magazine from Bussgeldkatalog.orglisted.
If you make -up when driving, you risk that you can be distracted, is no longer concentrated and, in the worst case, causes a traffic accident.

So in order not to risk an accident, we shouldn't put on make -up while driving. It is better to keep in a parking space to finalize or refresh the make-up. Without hustle and bustle and in peace.
