Happiness is such a thing. There is no general definition, because what makes us happy is individual. While some people equate happiness with success or material things, others find it in interpersonal relationships, self -fulfillment or simply in a moment of calm with a cup of tea.

Factors such as social security, good healthcare and a strong work-life balance play a crucial role here.

1. Do you feel financially secure and can you afford the things that are really important to you?
2. Do you have close friendships or a family that you can rely on?
3. Do you regularly spend time with things that really give you joy?
4. Are you physically active and move regularly?
5. Do you have the feeling that your life has sense and purpose?
6. Do you regularly learn something new or develop personally?
7. Do you feel safe and comfortable in your living environment?
8. Do you mostly eat balanced and pay attention to your diet?
9. Do you estimate the little things in life and can you consciously perceive moments of happiness?
10. Do you have the feeling that you have control over your own life?
Happiness is not just a feeling, but an interplay of many factors. If you feel financially secure, have strong social bonds and do something for your health, you have a higher probability of being happy in the long term.
But the nice thing is: many of these factors can be actively influenced. If you have answered some questions with "No", see it as an opportunity to make small changes in your everyday life. Because happiness is not only a question of chance - but also the decisions that we make every day.
