Have you ever wondered if the choice of your car says something about your intelligence? After all, there are plenty of clichés about drivers and their mobile orders - from the typical drangnies on the highway to classic family carriage.
But does the choice of car really related to the IQ? The British comparison portalScrap Car ComparisonIn cooperation with the research company Censuswide, has subjected an IQ test to over two thousand british. In this test, the participants also had to state which car they drive. The average IQ was determined for various car brands.
Skoda drivers are most intelligent
The highest average IQ was measured by drivers of the Skoda brand. With an average IQ of 99 you are at the top. Skoda, known for the slogan "Simply Clever", therefore also seems to meet this claim among its buyers.
According to the study, these are the IQ leader:
1. Skoda-average IQ: 99
2. Suzuki-average IQ: 98.09
3. Peugeot-average IQ: 97.79
4. Mini-average IQ: 97.41
5. MAZDA-DURCHSCHNITTS-IQ: 95.91
German brands such as Mercedes, Audi and BMW can be found again in the ranking. Mercedes is 8th place with an IQ of 94.74, Audi with 93.25 in 14th place. Volkswagen is in 19th place, closely followed by BMW with 91.68 in 20th place.
Color and drive type are also important
The study continued and asked not only about the brand, but also about the car color and drive type.
Car color:Accordingly, the participants with the highest average IQ in particular had white cars. Green cars, on the other hand, cut off the worst.
Drive type:Drivers of petrol engines achieved the highest IQ values, while electric cars took fourth place.
How meaningful is the study?
