Sony and Columbia Pictures have released the first trailer (below) for the upcoming state -of -the -art reboot of “3 Engel for Charlie”. Elizabeth Banks (“Pitch Perfect 2”) took over the director's chair, wrote on the script and even plays a supporting role in the film as a Bosley. This time Kristen Stewart, Ella Balinska and Naomi Scott, who just appeared as Princess Jasmine in Disney's live action remake “Aladdin”, slip into the roles of the new generation of female spies.
As we see from the trailer, this time Stewart and Balinska are playing established agents who introduce Scott into their ranks after they are involved in a conspiracy to kidnap a dangerous new technology.
This trailer indicated, but not confirmed that there will be several Bosleys in the new film, including Patrick Stewart and Djimon Hounsou. Other roles in the film also play Jonathan Tucker (“Kingdom”), Stewarts Snow-White-Co-Star Sam Claflin, Nat Faxon (“Friends from College”) and Noah Centineo (to all the boys I've Loved Before).
The trailer also wants to remind the viewers that the pop megastarsAriana Grande, Miley Cyrus and Lana Del Rey worked together on a new single that will debut with the film. The official start in German cinemas is on November 28th.
“3 Angel for Charlie” debut in 1976 as a detective series with Kate Jackson, Jacly Smith and Farrah Fawcett. Over the years, the show was revived numerous times, including a short-lived TV series from ABC Studios in 2011, but above all as a film series in 2000 and 2003 with Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu and Drew Barrymore as well as Bill Murray as Bosley.
