Use fresh or dried gypsophila: Make beautiful decorations for your home or a wedding

Gypsophila is usually used as a filler in bouquets. The delicate, romantic flower is particularly popular for bridal bouquets. But no matter whether for a wedding or your own four walls, the flowers are simply perfect for pretty decorations that you can also make yourself. What can you use fresh or dried gypsophila for?

Make small onesPendant to give as a giftor for your own decoration by combining dried gypsophila with rose petals. The instructions are really simple:

  • Gypsophila, dried
  • dried rose petals
  • cardboard
  • heart-shaped cookie cutters (or any other shapes) in 2 sizes
  • Cutter and pencil
  • Cord/yarn
  • Hot glue

How to make the beautiful gypsophila decoration:

  • Using the two cookie cutters or any other shape as a template, draw hearts on cardboard.
  • Cut out the inner and outermost parts to make a heart-shaped ring.
  • Then glue the flowers in place with the hot glue in any way you like, working your way up little by little (don't apply glue everywhere right away as it would dry too quickly).
  • You can stick stickers on both sides of the pendants if you want them to hang freely later.
  • Tie string for hanging and create a garland, for example.

Pressed flowers glaze in the frame

One way to dry gypsophila is to press the flowers. In this case, they can then be stored in this way between two glasses and displayed. For this minimalistic, beautiful decoration you needjust a glass frameand dried gypsophila, as described. For example, yellow gypsophila gives you a nice summer atmosphere, while purple, red or orange is perfect for autumn. Or combine different pressed flowers.
