Christmas stars fold from colored paper

Use oursEasy techniques, to get perfect Christmas stars made of just one square sheet of paper. You can of course make these as an exercise with your children to teach you how you can use these methods, for examplefifteen star fold. Some origami stars have a 3D effect that you can use as a decoration for hanging. This also makes great Christmas tree decorations and different forms by making changes to the cut at the end. First get square paper, glue (possibly hot glue gun or eagle owl) and scissors. It is recommended to start with a paper format of at least 15 x 15 cm. If you want your paper star to look good on both sides, try to find paper with color on both sides.

Simple star from three components

Materials:

  • 3 square paper pieces with colors of your choice
  • Glue

Directions:

  • Start with the white side up and fold the lower edge to the upper.
  • Fold all three leaves across the middle and place it so that the folded section is horizontal.
  • Next, bring the lower left corner up and right and align the upper edges. Make a small mark in the middle of the place where the wrinkle would be located if you fold it completely.
  • Then fold the top to the middle of the leaf so that one side fits on the curved diagonal.
  • The same happens with the lower side. A sheet is folded over the diagonal and left. End the other two leaves. The resulting upper and lower tips are folded back into the middle when they are in the middle.
  • First take the second sheet, whereby the page should point down with several folds.
  • Place the first piece of paper on it by positioning the smallest side in the middle of the other.
  • The lower sheet is folded to grab the other and form a figure in the shape of an arrow.
  • Finally, focus the last piece of paper with the blunt angle, where the other angles meet the remaining 2 triangles.
  • Glue all parts together. Complete!

Fifties

Materials:

  • 1 square sheet of paper
  • Scissors

Directions:

  • Fold the sheet four times first to get a smaller square, which you then form into a rectangle.
  • Then fold the lower right corner to the middle, while your side is on the fold in the middle.
  • Repeat the same with the top right corner so that you can get an X-shape into the right half.
  • Then place the lower left corner in the center, and the resulting small triangle fold through the middle, with the angle in the middle moving from the X shape to the left and down.
  • Then move the lower right corner to the middle and place it on the middle folds, which you then also fold.
  • Cut out the part that lies under the smallest triangle and expand the pentagon.
  • Then fold the Pentagon along the contours so that a triangle forms.
  • First fold the tip of the triangle at a distance of 1 finger to the underside. Then develop the pentend.
  • Each side of the small pentagon is then folded inside the contours to put it together.
  • The Pentagon must be folded so that its tips are visible.
  • Each tip is then to be folded over the contours of one side, so that there are 5 small triangles in the middle.
  • Turn the origami star and folds the angled corners to the middle to get tips in turn.
