Of course, this should be big enough for the cell phone to fit in. You can then use scissors to remove any remaining residue. Then apply the primer, let it dry and then paint the can in the desired color. Alternatively, you can also cover them with colored paper.
Then glue the beads for the feet. As mentioned, other items are also suitable for this purpose. You can now use the speaker like this or use another trick: the speaker will sound even better if you loosely insert around 5 sheets of toilet paper into it. Just test the difference and decide for yourself!

Then remove the paper.
To obtain dimmed light, you can now wrap several sheets of white paper around the can and glue them in place. Parchment paper is also suitable for this purpose. It's best to just try out how much insulation you would like the lamp to have before you stick everything in place. Then hang the LED strip in the chip container and put on the clear lid. Turn the can upside down and turn on the light. The light can also shine through the lid, creating a great lighting effect in the base too.
Crafting with Pringles cans for children - money box in the shape of a dog
And what can you make out of Pringles cans with andfor children? How about a money box? Sooner or later every child gets a money box and if it's homemade, it's even better! And you can easily make one like this together using chip rolls and egg cartons. We will now explain how (simply) this works.
- Pringles pack
- Egg carton
- Scissors
- Glue
- Acrylic paints
- Acrylic primer
- Googly eyes
- Knopf
- black Sharpie
What can you make from a Pringles can – This is how the money box is made
First cut out the legs, ears, snout and tail from the egg carton. You can see what these elements should look like in the picture above on the left. You then paint these parts in any colors you like. They then also paint the Pringles box. But since this has a fairly colorful surface, it is recommended to first apply a white primer (or simply a few coats of white acrylic paint) to cover the original pattern, and only then the desired color. But leave a few areas white so you can paint spots on them in a different color. Paint the lid too.
As soon as the paint has dried on all elements, you can glue the dog's legs and then the tail on the open side of the Pringles can and on the closed side the ears, the dog's muzzle including the button and the eyes (instead of using wiggly eyes, you can also use the eyes). just paint it on). You can then add further elements using the Edding. Close the can with the lid and make a slit in the back.
Make lighthouses
If you are looking for decorative craft ideas with Pringles cans, you could also make one of theseMake a lighthousewith chip containers for children. You don't need much for this:
- Pringlesdose
- cardboard
- transparent yogurt cup
- white paper
- blue tissue paper
- gray or silver tissue paper
- Glue and scissors
- red and clear tape
- Sharpie or felt-tip pen
- LED tea light
If necessary, cut the cardboard to the desired size for the base. Glue the blue tissue paper onto it, which now represents the sea. Apply glue all over the can and wrap it with the white paper. Simply cut off any excess or protruding paper. Then use the red tape to create the stripes by simply wrapping the roll in a spiral shape around the can, leaving a space between each row.
Glue the can onto the cardboard, scrunch up the gray or silver tissue paper to make rocks and glue them around the lighthouse. Place the candle on the lid of the can and turn it inside outthe yogurt cupover it, which you then fix on two sides with adhesive tape. You can then use an Edding pen or felt-tip pen to draw some details, such as windows or waves in the sea.
Make a pen holder out of a chip tin
What can you make from Pringles cans?for the desk? A particularly simple project that will be useful for both children and adults is a pencil holder. Here you can create a single holder or a group with Pringles cans, as you wish, by combining several small ones or chopping up one or two large ones. We show you two cool ideas:
Small Pringles cans for a group
All you need to do is paint or wrap any number of small cans with patterned paper and then hot glue them together. If you want, you can then glue the resulting group onto a surface (e.g. pretty painted and interestingly cut-out cardboard or a tray). With a group like this you can...Easily sort desk utensils– the colored pencils go in one holder, the felt-tip pens in another, etc.
Would you rather make a group yourself using the regular cans of Pringles? This is of course also possible. In this case you can even play with the heights and/or cut slanted edges. First, paint or glue the packaging and then cut it as desired. Then stick them together and you can use them. By the way, you can also use itStore make-up utensils wonderfully.
What can you make from Pringles cans that would be particularly interesting for children? For example, the little caterpillar Glutton! If you would like to make the colorful caterpillar with chip cans, simply stick the cans together in a row. Of course, the caterpillar can also squirm slightly if that suits you better. Then you need to make a head with feelers out of paperMake an insatiable caterpillarand paint eyes and a smiling mouth. Here, too, you can stick the individual cans on a base, have different heights and cut slanted edges.
