Christmas is of course eagerly awaited by all children. It's the time for surprising gifts and crafts. Children love blotting, painting and making something themselves, whether it's pastries or handicrafts. Every child is happy to help make Christmas tree decorations. Small figures made of modeling clay are very easy to make yourself and can be used to beautifully decorate the Christmas tree.
You can make modeling clay yourself at home inexpensivelySalt dough is definitely a classicunderneath. It is often used in kindergartens because it is completely harmless to small children - all ingredients are edible. The most commonly used recipe is very simple – 1 cup salt, 1 cup water, 2 cups flour. Put all the products in a large bowl, stir well and knead with your hands. For best results, the products are baked at a low temperature after a drying phase in the kitchen oven. Then comes painting, decorating and varnishing. The little treasures are quite durable.
Salt dough can be prepared very quickly and all the ingredients can be found in every household. Before it dries, the modeling clay can be beautifully printed with different reliefs and small objects. Afterwards you can decorate the decorations beautifully with watercolor, acrylic paint or even nail polish. For a vintage look, leave the figures as they are - in places you will notice the salt crystals and in others the surface will turn slightly yellowish. Stamp in black, silver or gold and create Christmas tree decorations for your home.
You can remain calm if the toddler puts a bit of salt dough in his mouth. It's perfectly edible, but still a little too salty. Then you can use colors for food, for example those for dyeing eggs or others. Divide the modeling clay into pieces and color them in the desired colors.
