Great disguise idea for families
The polar bear costume is tooperfect for familiessuitable. You can be shown as a bear family or dress up according to the motto “Polar bears, penguins, Eskimos and Co.” dress up. Your children will also learn why polar bears don't eat penguins.
How to put together the costume yourself
Polar bears have fluffy white fur and black muzzles. These are the features you can consider when choosing a polar bear costumeput together yourselfwant. A hat with ears, a plush coat and white fur cuffs over boots could go well with this.
A plush polar bear rug with a head as a cape
A polar bear skin doesn't just look good in the children's room. The plush polar bear rug with head can also be used as a cape. The bear's head should just remain fixed somehow on the child's head so that it doesn't constantly slip.
The right hat
If you don't want to wear masks on your face, you can simply get a polar bear hat. It looks very nice and keeps you warm. A good companion for the carnival parade.
Draw a bear nose on a face mask
If you don't feel like wearing an elaborate costume but don't want to look like a carnival grouch, you can simply make a few polar bear accessories. For example, a bear nose made from a face mask or fluffy bear paws.
The bear paws
Even sewing fans or beginners can sew such fingerless gloves from white faux fur. The most important thing is to recreate the polar bear paw pads. By the way, did you know that polar bears have black skin?
An interesting idea would be to cut a pair of inexpensive white plush slippers so that they can be worn like gloves. The sole should not be too thick and should be easy to bend.
The polar bear's ears
Polar bear ears are quickly put on and in combination with a matching outfit in white, the carnival costume is ready in no time. The ears can be attached to a headband or hair clips.
For crafting you will need soft plush fabric, a needle, scissors and a hair clip. Draw an oval circle on a piece of paper as a template and cut out the template. Transfer the template to the fabric and cut four times. You can also use another fabric for the inside of the ears.
Place two ovals right sides together and sew them together. A small opening is left at the bottom of each ear for turning. Now turn each of the two ears through the turning opening so that the plush is on the outside again. Fold the outsides of each ear together and sew together, creating a small fold in the pinna.
If you would rather save yourself the trouble of sewing, you can consider possible alternatives such as fur pom-poms (made of faux fur, of course) or pom-poms made of yarn.
Polar bear make-up completes the carnival costume
The polar bear costume is only complete with the right make-up. This polar bear make-up can be finished in about 10-15 minutes and a little practice. You need water-based make-up in black and white, makeup sponge, fine, thin round brush, medium-sized flat brush, blender brush, eye shadow in black and gray, optionally white mascara and white glitter.
What is needed?
The key to good polar bear makeup lies in the fur. First, practice the brush strokes on your arm. Use the thin round brush with black paint to create a “broken” zigzag line. The brush should not be too wet. Then you can make strokes in white with the flat brush to make the lines appear softer.
Make up the bear mask
Use the flat side of the sponge to paint the shape of the bear's head and paws in white. Use the gray eyeshadow and blender brush to make a nice shading - in the middle of the nose, at the top of the mask, in the middle of the ears, in the crease of the eyelids, on the side of the nose, along the upper lash line and in the middle the paws and the cheeks.
Using the blender brush, apply black eyeshadow to the center of the ears, the lower part of the nose, and along the upper and lower lash lines. Blend well to create a beautiful three-dimensional effect. Use the thin round brush and black paint to paint the bear's nose. It is characterized by a triangular shape - flat at the top, slightly rounded at the bottom. Also paint your upper lip with the black color. It should appear flatter. Outline the eyes with black and blur the lines.
Draw a black circle in the middle of the white paw and five smaller circles on top. Don't forget the claws either. Use the brush strokes you practiced at the beginning to paint the fur around the mask. Using the flat brush, apply white paint to the lower lip and make dots around the mask. Use white mascara on the eyelashes and eyebrows and white glitter on the forehead.
