If you want to place several pumpkins as decoration in or outside the house, it is recommended to choose different sizes. Varieties such as Howde, Aspen, Early Harvest, Non and Rocket are possible. Keep in mind that smaller specimens are a little more difficult to hollow out and decorate. If small children would be taking part in the carving, look for larger fruit if possible, as its flesh is significantly softer.
If you are a beginner, get the pumpkins enough time before the festival to work on them in peace. Schedule time for hollowing, carving and also drying.
