Make your own pumpkin - instructions with balloons, paste and wool

Would you like to make a pumpkin in the fall? Today we'll show you one of the easiest and most beautiful craft ideas for young and old. Beautiful decorative pumpkins can be created from wool, paste and balloons! You can, for example, hang these up as a garland or use them for autumn table decorations.

This is how you make pumpkins out of knitting yarn

Materials required:

Cotton yarn (yellow, orange, red)
white craft glue
Scissors
Balloons
green felt
brown felt
Nadel
thread

Step-by-step craft instructions

1. Inflate a balloon halfway. The larger you inflate the balloons, the more yarn you will need. The smaller the balloons are inflated, the more egg-shaped they become. Your pumpkins should be round.

2. Cut about 20 pieces of yarn that are approximately 1 meter long. If the yarn pieces are too much longer, they will tangle together when you soak them in the glue.

3. Tie a piece of yarn to the end of the balloon. Pour the glue into a small bowl. You need about 60 milliliters of glue for one decorative pumpkin. Dip the first piece of yarn into the glue and swirl gently with a plastic fork until it is completely covered in glue.

4. Start wrapping the yarn around the balloon. Once the first piece is finished, take a second one and repeat until you are happy with the end result.

5. When you're done wrapping, find a suitable place to hang the wool pumpkins to dry. Lay out newspaper to prevent drips. Allow the glue to dry overnight and harden well.

6. Use scissors to cut the balloon and press inward to remove it from the yarn ball.

7. Make the stem and leaves of the pumpkin out of felt. Cut a rectangle of green felt and fold it in half. Cut out a leaf shape. Make the handle from the brown felt. Use a needle and thread to attach the felt pieces to the pumpkin.
