Pure romance with invitations with hearts made of aluminum foil

The preparation for every celebration begins with the invitations. Now is the right time to decide on the number of guests and come up with a theme. It can be your favorite song, a quote or maybe a movie or book. Accordingly, you can later reinterpret the leitmotif in different decorations. If the celebration will take place in a small circle, you can also invite friends and family personally. Our tip: don't miss out on the invitation cards, because they have the date, time and address on them. Otherwise, you risk that the guests will not be able to remember the details later. You don't have to spend a lot on invitations: buy plain gray envelopes and white cardstock, metallic multi-purpose pens, two-part glue, cookie cutters, floral foam. Carefully place the foil with the shiny side up on the floral foam, then cut with the heart cookie cutter. Carefully brush the resulting heart with the two-component glue, remove it from the foam with tweezers and stick it to the envelope or invitation card. If desired, you can also cut the aluminum foil into sheets and then use the cookie cutter to cut several sheets at a time.

Make your own confetti

Are you planning a big party? Then you can surprise the guests with small gifts. Buy plain paper bags and decorate them with homemade confetti made from aluminum foil. Simply make several holes in the foil with the hole punch, then collect the resulting circles and stick them to the bag with glue. Wait for the glue to dry and fill the bag with sweets such as heart-shaped cookies.

Make place cards out of cardboard and aluminum foil

If you can paint beautifully, then the next craft idea is for you: buy white cardboard, pastel paint depending on your preferences (pink or lavender), two-component glue, metallic multi-purpose pens. First, create a template out of paper and cut out the butterfly silhouettes. Glue the aluminum foil to one wing with the shiny side up, wait for the glue to dry. Then carefully paint the details on the wings with a fine brush. Wait until the paint dries completely and label the place card with the guest's name. Complete!

Make your own romantic scattered decorations at the festive table

The next idea is sure to make a differenceromantic atmosphere at the table- this scattered decoration gives the room character in no time. Think about funny stories and fond memories that you have collected over the last 25 years. Or share with your friends and family what family life means to you. For the next project you will still need: aluminum foil, motif punch with lever - heart, cardboard in white, decorative wave motif scissors, pen, glitter stones. Simply cut the aluminum foil into sheets, place it on a sheet of cardboard (it serves as a coaster and ensures that no wrinkles form when cutting) and cut out hearts with the motif punch. Then use the motif scissors to cut out larger hearts from the cardboard. Label these large hearts lovingly - you can briefly summarize your story and memories on them. Scatter the cards, the aluminum foil hearts and the rhinestones on the festive table.

If you don't have enough time for crafting, you can simply use the hole punch to cut out confetti in the shape of a circle and simply scatter them on the table. They will add additional glamor to the table and can be perfectly showcased with both an antique candle holder and modern tableware sets. The scatter decoration gives every table the finishing touch and doesn't take up any space. So perfect for a celebration in a restaurant.

Design the guest book creatively

To remember the beautiful celebration, you don't just need photos - you can also offer a guest book where family and friends can leave you a loving message. It's also a great gift idea if you're invited to a silver wedding anniversary. Buy a plain white notebook, butterfly stamp, metallic paint. Print the stamp on the notebook, cut out butterfly silhouettes using a shape cutter or a motif punch and attach them either with double-sided adhesive tape or with two-component glue. If you wish, you can continue to paint or lovingly write on the guest book with the metallic multi-purpose pen.

Celebrate your silver wedding outdoors – decorate the napkins with confetti

If you invite the family to a barbecue party and would like to end the evening in the garden, then you should coordinate the decoration accordingly. Confetti are very light and rather unsuitable for outdoor use. Instead, you can use it to spice up the napkins. You can also cut strips out of the aluminum foil and decorate the straws with them. In this case, skill is required - so take your time with the task and try out several variants. Ultimately, the rule of thumb also applies in this case: “Practice makes perfect”.

Those tooChildren are allowed at the festivaltake part - and of course you will look forward to imaginative decorations. Decorate blue napkins with stars to create a starry sky, decorate the napkins for the girls with a crown. Optionally, you can organize a celebration according to the motto – “You are my king, I am your queen”.

In a puristic style - picture with a heart

If the celebration takes place in your house, you of course have the freedom to design not only the dining table but also the room according to your own preferences. The wall decoration pictured above can be made in just a few steps and is suitable even for inexperienced people. You can even entrust the task to the grandchildren. You need: pink cardboard, a picture frame and aluminum foil. Simply cut a heart out of the aluminum foil and stick it in the middle of the cardboard sheet. At the end of the evening, you can ask your guests to write congratulations on the box. Then you have found a replacement for the guest book - and one that you can then hang on the wall as a reminder of the beautiful day.

Craft enthusiasts can decide on their next project. You need: white cardboard (or lavender, pink, cream), a matching picture frame, glitter paint and brush, two-component glue, aluminum foil, motif punch with bird motifs. Simply cut out lots of bird silhouettes from aluminum foil using the motif punch, then fold them in half. In the meantime, paint a heart on the cardboard with the glitter paint and leave it aside to dry. Then glue the birds to the cardboard in the painted heart. Be careful to glue each bird in the middle - this creates a 3D effect. At the end you can paint all the birds with the glitter paint.

Transparent balloons with confetti

No matter whether the party is indoors or outdoors – balloons look good everywhere. And while colorful designs create a happy atmosphere at the children's table on birthdays, transparent balloons look classy and elegant. They cut a good figure both as soloists and as an ensemble. Balloons are a real eye-catcher and are often used in larger rooms as strange signposts - no wonder that they often decorate the buffet, for example. To prevent the arrangement from looking boring, you can fill the transparent balloons with aluminum foil confetti. The balloons are made of plastic and can therefore become statically charged. That's why the confetti sticks to the balloon even without glue.

All you have to do is fill the balloons with confetti and then inflate them. So that the arrangement doesn't look boring, you can tie the balloons at different heights or let them float freely on the ceiling. You can optionally tie the balloons to the chairs and use them as unique place card holders. The possibilities are practically endless - let your imagination run wild and decorate niches and corners with them. At larger parties, you can also use it to decorate the table with the guest book or, if you are planning on presenting gifts, the table with the guest gifts. The children will of course be happy to see balloons on the children's table - but be careful that the little ones do not play with them without supervision. There is always a risk of injury and small children can swallow the confetti.

Decorate disposable cups

Would you like to organize a nice celebration yourself, but don't want to spend a lot on it? Organize a family outing and decorate the disposable cups and disposable plates with aluminum foil confetti. On the one hand, you can keep your budget within reasonable limits and concentrate on the delicious food instead of the decoration, but on the other hand, you will still surprise your guests with lovingly crafted decorations.

Make roses

Now comes the absolute classic – a rose made of aluminum foil not only looks really beautiful, but also fits perfectly with the “silver wedding” theme. You can find step by step instructions in the video below. Basically, the roses can be arranged together or separately on the table.

Looks particularly stylishFloral arrangement with rosesmade of aluminum foil, pine branches, lavender and/or other evergreen accessories. You can display the decoration you made in the middle of the table. However, you can place the individual roses on the guests' plates and use them as place cards.

Folding a rose out of aluminum foil is not super easy, so you need to practice for a day. But once you have perfected the process, crafting will be child's play and you can make many flowers yourself one after the other.

Aluminum foil flowers stand out, so otherwise keep the table simple and avoid any other decorations. Then they can come to the fore and the board doesn't look overcrowded and tacky.

You can also fold the rose around a candle holder. This creates a tea light that will bring a vintage touch from the past to the table.

The bouquet pictured above is made from aluminum plates. You simply need to use a cutter to cut out the bottom of the plate and then roll up the sides. Glue the roses made in this way close together to a floral foam ball or Stirofoam ball. Optionally you can use wooden skewers.

Do you have old vases, flower pots or both? Cover unsightly areas with aluminum foil - geometric vases and flower pots look better with strips of aluminum foil on the corners, while vintage vases can be covered with larger pieces of aluminum foil - this creates the old look.

Whether for flowers, scatter decorations such as confetti, balloons or as stickers for place cards, envelopes etc., aluminum foil can be used in many different ways. Especially on special occasions such as silver weddings, the material adds an elegant touch to the design with its attractive old silver look. So let our suggestions inspire you and choose your favorite design!
