In spring nature begins a new life. For more spring mood, you can make our own window decorations for Easter. This will make the festive days much more colorful and cheerful. You can always make great Easter decorations with blown out eggs and the Easter eggs can easily be converted into mini vases for beautiful spring flowers.
All you need for this decoration is: colored ribbons, flowers, scissors, glue and some clean, blown eggs(You can remove the tops like you would with a soft-boiled egg). Don't worry if the edge isn't straight, the flowers will cover it up anyway.
Step by step instructions
You can use cotton ribbon in any color you want. First, measure the distance from the top of the window to the desired height where you want the mini vase to hang. Double this length and cut a piece of the ribbon.
Apply a strip of glue along the length of the egg. Then place the egg in the middle of the band and press lightly. To make sure the glue sticks to both sides, you can cross the two ends of the ribbon over the top of the egg. Allow the glue to dry for a few hours.
Take the flowers in your hand and make a small bouquet. Cut the stems to a length that fits the mini vase. Tulips, pussy willows, cherry blossoms, asters and sage were used for this project.
Place the bouquet in the egg and pour in a little water using a small jug.
You can repeat the process choosing other flower combinations according to your preference. The original vases look great with a colorful combination of different flowers in different shades, as well as with a single flower. Just a single tulip with green leaves looks good and brings a touch of spring into your home.
These Easter decorations can be easily transformed - for example, you can cut shorter ribbons and use the vases as table decorations or gifts for Easter. Position several tiny vases next to each other in an egg carton to create a unified overall look. The egg carton is a creative base for self-made masterpieces. If you want to give the vases as a gift, the egg carton is also a creative idea as gift packaging.
Another idea – you can tie off the two ends of the ribbon and attach them to the window with a rice tack.
