Making summer mobiles: ideas for children's activities when it rains

Craft instructions:

  1. Make a template for the ship's sails from the cardboard.
  2. Transfer the template to the fabric. You need 2 sails per ship.
  3. Additionally cut out 2 small pennant triangles for each ship.
  4. Cut three 30 cm and six 20 cm long pieces of twine.
  5. Using a 20 cm long piece of twine, tie a double knot in the middle of a small piece of driftwood.
  6. First glue the two sails together and then attach them to the twine. Then attach the pennant triangles.
  7. Put all six sailing ships together and attach five of them to the medium-length pieces of driftwood with twine. Tie the sixth sailing ship to the long piece of driftwood.
  8. Then attach the two medium-length pieces of driftwood to the large driftwood.
