How to make artificial snowballs for decoration?

Necessary materials:
- White foam balls in different sizes
- Epsom salt
- Water-based craft glue (Mod Podge)
- Mixing container and stirring rod
- Rubber or latex gloves
How are the snow globes made?
- Before you start making some beautiful snowballs, we recommend that you put on a pair of gloves.
- Start by mixing Epsom salt and craft glue in a mixing container. You can dose the amount by eye. You could also add silver glitter to the mix if you like.
- Once the ingredients are mixed together, you'll need to work quickly because the Epsom salt will start to absorb the glue. Start by rolling a foam ball in the Epsom salt and glue mixture and covering the ball with the mixture.
- As the mixture thickens, press it onto the foam ball rather than rolling the ball in the mixture. This will create lumps and texture, and that's okay. A snowball is not perfectly round, so this variation in texture and coverage is desirable.
- Once you have spread a good amount of the mixture around the foam ball, set it aside to dry and repeat the process with the other foam balls.
- Depending on the amount of craft glue used and the humidity in the room, the foam balls should be dry and ready to decorate in a few hours.
- It is important to note that not the entire foam ball will be covered with the Epsom salt craft glue mixture. Parts of the sphere will still be visible. That's fine!
