Primroses are available everywhere in small plastic pots in spring. However, the perennial early bloomers can be planted in larger containers and can beautify both window sills and balcony boxes. Because they come in countless color variations, you can create beautiful, colorful arrangements, but they also pair beautifully with other flowers like daffodils and tulips if you want to add more texture.

To plant a container with hyacinths, all you need to do is stick a few bulbs in potting soil and water them lightly. Make sure you only water the soil and not the bulbs. Leave the pot in a cooler location for a few days until they sprout. Afterwards they can either be taken to the balcony or into a warmer room.

The daisy, also called Bellis, is a typical spring flower for pot planting. Available in a variety of colors, it grows up to 20cm tall and looks great in combination with tulips, daffodils and forget-me-nots.

Daffodils are the absolute classics among spring flowers and should of course not be missing from the planting. To do this, use pre-grown daffodils, either in a partially shaded place on the balcony or in a well-ventilated place in the apartment that is not too warm. They should be watered regularly by always watering from above.

The hardy horned violets are another flower that is perfect for planting in flower pots and provides a fresh flair. They come in countless color combinations and can be combined wonderfully with all other spring bloomers and bulbs to create a unique splash of color. They bloom from March to October and need a lot of water to thrive properly. However, they cannot tolerate waterlogging.
