In 2014 ARCHINOW designed this two-story house in San Marino. The exclusive property belongs to a young banker couple. In their strenuous everyday lives, they strived for peace and relaxation without having to forego luxury. The designers and architects created a modern interior in which robust materials and straight proportions dominate. By using natural stone in the garden and interior, the living space is expanded to the outside and the result is an elegant, spacious home with great highlights.
Natural stone in the garden andInterior– An exclusive house in San Marino
Through thatL shape concept of houseThere is an inner courtyard in which the homeowners can enjoy their free time by the pool undisturbed. Thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows, which also function as patio doors, the outdoor area can be reached from every room on the ground floor. There is also a covered terrace with a lounge and dining area. A little to the side is a second, smaller terrace, which belongs to a bedroom and offers a special highlight - a pond with koi fish.
Use in the garden and indoors serves as a unifying, design and architectural element. This creates a smooth transition to the interior of the house. The interior is dominated by straight proportions, robust surfaces and a lack of frills. Light wood, stone, glass and elegant leather upholstery in neutral earth colors create a harmonious overall picture and make the furnishings appear elegant and tasteful.
A special highlight is the private wellness area. There's an indoor pool, a fitness room, aSaunaand showers available. The materials used here are also elegant and chic – natural stone, glass, mosaic tiles and wood. A very interestingly designed bathroom with unusual orange tiling and an accent wall with playful motifs makes an impression.
The garden design of the luxury home is completely tailored to the busy lifestyle of the homeowners. Robust, drought-tolerant plants grow there and the area by the pool is covered with lawn. But the small terrace with the pond offers a special view and is directly opposite a very old, large oak tree.
