The glass in the shower cubicle is treated in a similar way to dishes in the dishwasher. It is doused with water, which leaves behind unwanted deposits that make the glass cloudy. Thus, using rinse aid to allow the water to drain off the glass quickly should have the same effect as your drinking glasses, i.e. provide crystal clear glass.

Rinse aid is usually put in the dishwasher, but it is also worth using the cleaning agent in the bathroom when cleaning the shower cubicle. What you need:

  • 1/2 cup hydrogen peroxide
  • 1/2 Cups of Franzbranntwein (Isopropyl Alcohol)
  • 1 teaspoon liquid dish soap
  • 1 tablespoon rinse aid
  • 3 cups of water

Directions:

  1. First, put the hydrogen peroxide, alcohol, liquid soap and rinse aid in a spray bottle that is at least 1 liter in size. A funnel is very helpful for this step.
  2. Next, slowly add the 3 cups of water (the mixture may bubble a little due to the dish soap). If you're reusing a 1 liter bottle from a store-bought shower cleaning spray, you don't even need to measure for this step - just fill the bottle with water.
  3. Place the cap back on the spray bottle and slowly tilt the bottle back and forth to mix the ingredients.

Application:

If you have a calcified glass shower, first use the cleaning product to clean the walls. Simply spray, leave to act briefly and wipe off.

Then spray the spray on the shower walls every time after showering and you're done. Wiping is not necessary.
