The architects from MM ++ Architects have designed a single-family home in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam that stands out from the rest of the neighborhood with its striking design. The house is narrow and high, but impresses from the outside with its elegant white facade with wooden elements. The architects also used wood for the interior design and complemented the white walls and ceilings with beautiful color accents in the interior.
Color accents in the interior create a happy atmosphere
The single-family home is built on four floors: a ground floor, an attached mezzanine, two upper floors and an accessible roof terrace. When furnishing the different rooms, furniture in bright colors is used, which creates atmospheric color accents and freshens up the interior. Light green tones are combined with purple color in the kitchen and living room. Red is used as an accent in the bathroom and the architects chose calming beige for the bedroom.
A colorful kitchen
The colorful kitchen is on the ground floor and is the first thing you see when entering the house. The kitchen mirror, dining table and stools for sitting are decorated in a fun light green and are in harmony with the wooden cupboards. Seat cushions for the stools and the sofa add purple color accents to the interior and complete the colorful furnishings.
Narrow single-family home with storage space
Since the narrow single-family home only has 32 square meters per floor, there is storage space everywhere in the house. The area under the stairs, for example, serves as a shelf and has four drawers on the floor, which serve as a perfect storage space. In this way, the available space is optimized and the greatest benefit is derived from it.
Interconnected spaces
The ground floor is connected to the mezzanine, designed as a living room. There you can find the same tones as color accents in the interior, which emphasize the connection between the two rooms. Thanks to the large windows and the white wall colors, the apartment receives natural lighting, and the wooden elements on the facade serve as a perfect privacy screen that does not allow the view from the outside in.
