Interior trend: rocks and natural objects in interior design

For lovers of minimalist style, but also of 'heavy' interiors, we present a real design object - single-family home in Seoul, South Korea. The house was designed by TUNEplanning in 2013 and called 'Dayangsanghoi' and is properly located between mountains. Stones of different types, as well as real trees and natural wood, are integrated into the interior, which corresponds to the latest interior trends.

The minimalist style can seem impersonal and a bit bare to some - this is exactly the stereotype that designers want to break. To achieve this, accents are set that enliven the interior and give it a distinctive character. Natural objects, designer pieces and unconventionally processed onessurfacescome into question here, as well as large-format windows that bring nature indoors.

The natural rock of the nearby mountain appears almost untouched and flows naturally into the interior. Inside and outside are only separated by large-format panoramic windows that can be moved and allow perfect access to nature. A natural pond is created in the natural depression of the rock.

The rock serves as natural weather protection and at the same time ensures privacy. It is also interpreted further indoors. Another interior trend is indirect lighting and cladding walls and ceilings with wood. Reflective and mirrored surfaces are also included.

Another highlight is an unusual wall design with quarry stones and a real tree branch that pushes through the wooden ceiling into the interior.
