  • 800 grams of ripe pears
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 350 grams of sugar
  • 1 TL Cardamom
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • The juice of a lemon

Preparation:

  • Peel the pears, quarter them lengthwise, remove the seeds and cut the flesh into small pieces.
  • Halve the vanilla pod lengthwise and scrape out the pulp.
  • Put all the ingredients in a large pot, mix well and bring to the boil over medium heat while stirring.
  • Reduce the heat and let the mixture cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Pour the pear jam into sterile jars while it is still hot, close tightly and leave to stand upside down for 10 minutes.
  • Turn over and let cool completely - and your homemade jam is ready!

  • 1 kilogram of ripe pears
  • 100 grams of brown sugar
  • 110 ml apple cider vinegar
  • 1 large onion, chopped finely
  • 35 grams dried cranberries
  • 35 grams of candied ginger
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, finely grated
  • 1 Zimtstange
  • 1 clove
  • 1 TL Senfkörner
  • Salt to taste

Preparation:

  • Peel the pears, quarter them lengthways, core them and cut them into small pieces.
  • Cook the sugar, vinegar, cinnamon stick and cloves in a large pot over medium heat until the sugar is completely dissolved - about 3-4 minutes.
  • Add pears, onions, cranberries, ginger, mustard seeds and salt and mix well.
  • Reduce the heat and simmer, covered, for about 50-55 minutes or until there is hardly any liquid left.
  • Remove the cinnamon stick and clove and fill the pear chutney, still hot, to the brim into sterilized jars.
  • Turn the jars upside down and allow to cool completely.

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 firm pears
  • 100 grams of powdered sugar
  • 1 TL Vanilleextrakt
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 200 grams of dark chocolate
  • 120 ml strong, freshly brewed coffee
  • 90 grams of powdered sugar
  • 120 ml Sahne
  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream

Preparation:

  • Peel the pears, halve them and remove the core.
  • Put the pear halves in a large pot with 300 ml water, powdered sugar and vanilla extract and bring to the boil.
  • Reduce the heat and simmer for about 5 minutes. Place the pear halves in a colander and drain and allow to cool completely.
  • For the chocolate sauce, put the chocolate, coffee and sugar in a saucepan and let it melt over low heat while stirring.
  • As soon as a smooth mixture has formed, stir in the cream and remove the pan from the heat.
  • Place 2 pear halves on each dessert plate, pour the warm chocolate sauce over them and serve with 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream each.

  • 230 grams apples, grated
  • 230 grams of pears, grated
  • 200 grams of sugar
  • 380 grams of wheat flour
  • 2 eggs, room temperature
  • 1 THE Backpulver
  • 180 grams of rapeseed oil
  • 115 grams walnuts, chopped
  • 130 grams of raisins
  • 1 TL Vanilleextrakt
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • A pinch of salt

Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 100 grams of soft cream cheese
  • 200 grams of powdered sugar
  • 55 grams of soft butter
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 TL Vanilleextrakt

Preparation:

  • Preheat the oven to 160 degrees and line a baking pan with baking paper or lightly grease it.
  • Mix apples, pears, sugar, rapeseed oil, raisins, walnuts, eggs and vanilla extract together well in a large bowl.
  • Mix wheat flour, baking powder, spices and salt and gradually add to the fruit mixture.
  • Pour the dough into the baking pan and bake for about 1 hour.
  • Allow to cool completely.
  • For the icing, mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar and butter with a hand mixer until smooth. Add milk and vanilla and stir.
