Prepare strawberry soft ice cream in the Thermomix

And making your own soft serve ice cream is a lot easier than you might imagine, especially if youhave a Thermomix. Treat yourself and your friends to strawberry soft ice cream in the Thermomix using the following recipe! It is also completely suitable for beginners!

If you are one of these strawberry fans with your own strawberry garden, you are probably looking for a few ideas about what you could do with the popular fruits. Well, strawberry ice cream is a wonderful idea, don't you think? So get the necessary amount now and start preparing strawberry soft ice cream in the Thermomix!

  • 750 g strawberries, washed, stemmed and halved
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 400 g sweet condensed milk
  • 500 ml whipped cream

Make strawberry soft ice cream in the Thermomix – this is how it works:

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (160 fan oven) and line a baking tray with baking paper. Spread the strawberries on the tray and sprinkle them with the sugar. Then bake the fruit in the oven for 35 to 45 minutes until it softens and releases juice. Then let them cool completely. Alternatively, you can also boil the strawberries in a little water until soft.

In the meantime, prepare the strawberry soft ice cream in the Thermomix. To do this, beat the cream for 1 to 4 minutes on level 3 using the butterfly mixer attachment. You should not lose sight of the cream as it can quickly turn into butter. Enter thecream into anotherBowl. Then puree the strawberries in the Thermomix for about 10 seconds on level 4. Then add the condensed milk and mix for another 10 seconds on the same level. Then put this mixture into a separate bowl.

Fold a dollop of whipped cream into the fruit milk. Continue doing this little by little until you have used up the whipped cream. Don't worry about lumps. These disappear when stirred. Also make sure not to overdo the stirring, otherwise the strawberry soft ice cream in the Thermomix will not be as fluffy. Place the mixture in a suitable freezer container, place baking paper over it and press out any air bubbles. Then close the container with a lid and freeze the mixture overnight or for 12 hours.
