Peanut butter is a concentrated source of nutrition that has potential health benefits and is a natural alternative to peanut butter as it contains no sugar. Making your own peanut butter is much cheaper and tastier than the commercially available versions. It's super easy and serves as a spread or as an ingredient in various sweet or savory recipes.
On some level, you probably already know that making your own peanut butter is pretty easy. But if you've never done it yourself, you can't really understand how incredibly easy it is.
Making peanut butter: 5-minute recipe
You can make this peanut butter yourself in less than 5 minutes and it tastes simply delicious. Store in a cool, dry place if you like it runny, or refrigerate to firm up.

- 450 g roasted peanuts, unsalted
- 1/4 – 1/2 tsp salt

- If you want to roast the peanuts yourself, first place them on a rimmed baking sheet and bake at 180°C for 8-10 minutes. Let them cool.
- Place the peanuts in your food processor and put the lid on.
- Turn on the food processor and blend the peanuts for about 4 minutes. You will notice that they become thick and crumbly at first, perhaps forming into a ball, and then they begin to become a thick, smooth paste.
- Remove the lid, add the salt and blend for another 30-60 seconds until the peanut butter is creamy and glossy.
- Transfer to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for months or in a cool, dry place for a few weeks.
Vegan breakfast with bananas and peanut butter
Try this excellent combination of peanut butter and banana for breakfast.

Ingredients:
- 300 g oat flakes
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon, plus extra for sprinkling
- 2 medium bananas, finely chopped
- 500 g soy yogurt
- 80 g peanut butter
Preparation:
- Place the oats and cinnamon in a large pot with 1.3 liters of water and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the oats are cooked and the mixture has thickened.
- Stir in the chopped bananas, cook for 1 minute, then remove the pot from the heat. Let the mixture cool for a few minutes and then stir in 6 tablespoons of soy yogurt.
- Stir the peanut butter into the remaining yogurt until well combined.
- Divide half of the oat mixture into the bottom of six glass cups and top with half of the nutty yogurt. Top with remaining oat mixture and then layer with remaining yogurt mixture.
- The dessert will keep covered and refrigerated for up to four days.
- When serving, sprinkle with a little cinnamon if desired.
Spicy soup with peanut butter
This rich and flavorful peanut soup is an extremely tasty dish that you can make with your homemade peanut butter.

- 2 medium carrots, diced
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 large sweet potato, peeled and diced
- 120 g peanut butter
- 2 THE Currypaste Rote
- 800 ml vegetable broth
- 400 g diced canned tomatoes
- 1 Lorbeerblatt
- 1 fresh thyme sprig
- 1/2 TL Pfeffer
- 1 pinch of smoked paprika powder
- 60g unsalted peanuts
Preparation:
- In a large pot, sauté the carrots and onions in olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute more.
- Stir in the sweet potato and cook for another 2 minutes. Then stir in the peanut butter and curry paste until everything is well mixed. Add the broth, tomatoes, bay leaf, thyme, pepper and paprika.
- Bring everything to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, until sweet potatoes and carrots are tender, 15-20 minutes.
- Discard the bay leaf and thyme sprig and stir the soup until well blended.
- Sprinklethem with peanuts.
Make your own crunchy chocolate bars with peanut butter
The crunchy chocolate peanut butter bars consist of only 5 ingredients, they are vegan, gluten-free and so easy to make! They will become your new favorite candy!

- 180 g peanut butter
- 90 g agave syrup (optional honey or maple syrup)
- 100 g gepuffte Quinoa
- 90 g chocolate chips, bittersweet
- 1 tbsp Coconut beer
- A few pinches of sea salt
Preparation:
- Whisk together the peanut butter and agave syrup in a bowl.
- As soon as the mixture is smooth, fold in the puffed quinoa.
- Pour the dough into a greased bread pan.
- Press it down until it forms an even layer on the floor.
- Melt the chocolate chips in a small bowl. You can use the microwave to do this, just make sure to stir it every 30 seconds.
- Add the coconut oil and stir until smooth.
- Pour the chocolate onto the crunchy peanut layer and place in the freezer for a few hours.
- Using a sharp knife, cut it into eight squares and sprinkle them with sea salt.
