The European Championship is perhaps the most important event that gathers big and small people in front of the screens across Europe. 24 teams, 6 groups, 51 games, one month - those are the numbers, but the excitement is enormous and a good reason to celebrate, especially when the German team plays safely on June 12th, 16th and 21st. Of course you can't entertain guests every evening, but preparing for a football evening isn't that difficult. We'll reveal helpful tips and simple recipes for delicious party snacks to make your EM time more relaxed and delicious.
Party Snacks – First the preparation
The exact onesDates of football gameshave been known long before the actual event. If a lot of people are expected at the football evening, it is worth starting the preparation weeks beforehand. But if you don't receive that many people, 1-2 days beforehand would be enough for you. We will give you a few tips on how you can prepare perfectly for the shortest possible time.
- Provide sufficient equipment – folding and foldable furniture can create space for additional people at any time.
- Tableware – use disposable tableware to save yourself the hassle of washing up and cleaning up late in the evening. (Environmental friends only use those made from organically degradable materials.)
- Drinks – whether you get the drinks or everyone brings something, make sure you have plenty of cooling options.
- Shopping list –delicious finger food and party snacksare the best idea for a football evening because everyone can take as much and as much as they want and you save yourself the hassle of running around and serving. Make a shopping list with the ingredients you can use and, if possible, get them the day before.
Everyone will probably prepare barbecue specialties for a football night. You can buy them ready-marinated and just throw them on the grill. Be original and offer your guests something new. The colors of Italy can be evoked with basil leaves, tomatoes and cheese. You can easily represent the black from the German colors with sepia pasta, red and yellow can be recreated with salami or tomatoes and cheddar cheese. Tomato and mozzarella bites
Ingredients for 12 servings:
- 12 small slices of bread or baguette
- 300g Cherry tomatoes
- 2 balls of mozzarella
- 180g Basil Pesto
- 5 tbsp olive oil
Halve or quarter the cherry tomatoes, dice the mozzarella and place them one after the other on small skewers or toothpicks. Dress the tomato and mozzarella skewers with olive oil, salt and pepper. Brush the slices of bread or baguette with about 3 tablespoons of oil and roast them on the middle rack in the oven at 220 degrees for 3-5 minutes. Then spread with the basil pesto and serve a skewer on top of each crostini.
Spaghettimuffins
Ingredients for 8 servings:
- 125g Spaghetti
- 125g carrots
- 1 onion
- 100g grated Parmesan
- 1 Dose But
- 1 The Mehl
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- Ketchup for garnish
Cook the spaghetti according to the instructions on the package or use some from the previous day. Clean the carrots and slice them into thin strips with a vegetable peeler. Drain the corn and cut the onion into strips. Mix carrots, spaghetti, onion and cheese, then stir in flour and eggs. Pour the resulting mixture into muffin cups and bake at 160 degrees for half an hour until they turn golden brown.
Berries with chocolate on skewers
Ingredients for 10 skewers:
- 1 kg of berries, but also seasonal fruit
- 100g dark chocolate couverture (or other to taste)
- optional – 45g chopped almonds
Depending on their size, either leave the fruit whole or cut it into bite-sized pieces. Roast the almonds in a non-stick pan and let them cool. Roughly chop the couverture and heat it in a water bath. If desired, place the fruits alternately on wooden skewers or simply spread the individual pieces on baking paper. Then drizzle the melted chocolate coating over it and sprinkle with the almonds.
