Vanilla pudding and chocolate mousse are a thing of the past, today we treat our guests to delicious popcorn with dark chocolate. And to make it sparkle and glitter on the festive buffet, we sprinkle the popcorn with edible glitter powder and serve the delicacy in crystal glasses richly decorated with golden confetti. For the delicious recipe you need the following ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 pack of microwave butter popcorn
  • 30 g shavings of dark chocolate with 60% cocoa content
  • 2 tsp edible shine powder, gold

First melt the chocolate in a water bath or in the microwave. If you want to melt dark chocolate in a water bath, put the chocolate shavings in a metal bowl and melt them over a water bath, stirring constantly. Make sure that the temperature of the water is between 55° and 60° degrees. Optionally, you can place the chocolate in a glass or ceramic bowl and melt in the microwave for 30 seconds. Before the chocolate melts, follow the manufacturer's instructions and prepare the popcorn in the microwave. Most manufacturers have specifications for the wattage of the microwave, but you can usually find your way without these specifications. Basically, if the interval between the so-called “pop” noises is longer than 3-4 seconds, then the popcorn is ready.

Line a baking tray with baking paper and spread the popcorn on the baking tray. Pour with a spoonmelted chocolateover the popcorn. Before the chocolate hardens, sprinkle the popcorn with the glitter powder to help it stick. Then let the chocolate harden completely. Serve immediately after preparation or store the popcorn in a food storage bag.

The melt drops are left in the microwave for 60 seconds and then, if necessary, melted 3 more times for 15 seconds each. If the candy melts are not liquid enough, you can add a little palm oil or olive oil and stir until they reach the desired consistency. Then fill the mixture into star molds and let it harden.
