Of course, every Greek family has their secret recipe and tips, but we have probably the best recipe for tzatziki for youin Greek style, which tastes just as good as in the best taverns.

  • Serve with bread or vegetable sticks and voilà – the classic tzatziki recipe with yogurt is so quick.

What should you pay attention to when preparing?

Although the classic tzatziki recipe is super simple, we still have a few preparation tips for you so that you can make the Greek classic the best.

  • You can make a lot of mistakes when choosing your yogurt. While a tzatziki recipe with quark is significantly lower in calories than the original, it is far from classic. To make the dip nice and creamy and smooth, always use Greek yogurt with 10% fat content.
  • The cucumber also plays an important role in the consistency and taste. It's best to use organic or home-grown cucumbers and make sure you squeeze as much water out of them as possible. This step is essential for any good tzatziki recipe.
  • Freshly made tzatziki will usually last up to 3-4 days in the fridge. And here's a small but nice tip - the longer you let the dip sit, the more aromatic and delicious it will be. Therefore we would recommend you the TzatzikiRecipe the day beforeto prepare.
