Plum Crumble: Try the easy recipe for a delicious dessert!

Ingredients

  • 200 g Flour
  • 125g butter, diced, plus a little extra for greasing
  • 50g powdered sugar
  • 50 g ground almonds
  • 100g brown sugar, plus a little more for the topping
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 900 g plums, pitted and halved
  • 1 large orange, zest and juice
  • 50 g chopped almonds

preparation

  1. Using your fingertips, rub the flour and butter together in a large bowl until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Mix in the powdered sugar, ground almonds, 50 g brown sugar and a pinch (1 teaspoon) of cinnamon. Shake everything well and mix.
  2. Using a fork, stir in a few drops of cold water until the mixture is crumbly and lumpy. Freeze the bowl for 10 minutes.
  3. Bake at 200 degrees Celsius.
  4. Lightly grease the baking pan and spread the plums evenly in a layer with the cut side up. Slowly pour the orange juice over it.
  5. Mix the remaining 1 teaspoon cinnamon, the orange peel and the 50 g brown sugar. Sprinkle the topping over the plums.
  6. The streusel mixture should be sprinkled evenly over the plums, but not pressed down. Then sprinkle the almonds on top and finally sprinkle some brown sugar on top.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes until the streusel is bubbling and brown. Garnish with ice cream or cream and serve hot.
