On February 20, Samsung will host its first major “Unpacked” press conference for 2019. When it comes to the stars of the show, we all know what to expect. The company plans to unveil at least three new Samsung S10 smartphone models in San Francisco next Wednesday. These include the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 +. A fourth model with an even larger andfoldable displayas well as 5G connectivity may also appear at the event. However, we can expect it to hit the market later.
According to rumors, the higher spec models could be Samsung's first Infinity-O display. Additionally, these will also feature an in-display fingerprint scanner and a triple camera, while the so-called budget model offers buyers an affordable option. We have put together some information about Samsung's new Galaxy S10 series for you in this article.
Samsung's new Galaxy S10 lineup will feature new, fully engineered screens with punch-hole cameras, in-display fingerprint sensors and many other exciting technologies. There are also rumors that Samsung is planning to launch another new smartphone with an even more innovative design than we've come to expect from the Galaxy S series this year. The manufacturer has called it “Galaxy F” and “Galaxy Fold”. It will be the first smartphone from Samsung to have a foldable display (OLED screen).
The world got its first taste of the Galaxy F late last year when Samsung previewed a prototype of the phone at its annual conference. The move was a necessity as it needs to bring developers on board for Samsung. The company wants to ensure that there are enough apps to support the new foldable form factor when the Galaxy F finally hits the market. Several reports suggested that the launch would take place next week alongside the premiere of the new Samsung S10 series. But now a brief note from an industry insider suggests that this may not be the case.
Exciting facts or just rumors
Twitter user Max J. is known for having insider information and owning images of unreleased Samsung devices. In his tweet, he claims that Samsung has no plans to launch the new Galaxy F next week. Instead, we'll probably just get a brief preview of the phone like we did in November. The reports that the Galaxy F would come onto the market together with the Samsung S10 smartphone definitely made customers curious. Even though the Galaxy F will be an ultra-high-end phone with a limited release, it shouldn't distract from the new Galaxy S10 lineup with an innovative handset that introduces an entirely new form factor.
It makes a lot more sense for Samsung to give the world another little teaser, if at all. Maybe we'll get our first look at the Galaxy F's design without a bulky case meant to cover the phone, as was the case with SDC 2018 last year. This allows Samsung to reinvigorate enthusiasm for the Galaxy S10 series without putting the emphasis on the star of the stars (the F model). Samsung's big Unpacked press conference will take place on Wednesday, February 20th in San Francisco. So we only have a week left before the cat is out of the bag.
Samsung recently posted a teaser video that essentially confirms that we'll be learning some details about the new Galaxy F over the next week. The Korean manufacturer is aware that it would not be a good idea to overshadow the Samsung S10 with a complete launch. Therefore, we suspect that the company is only giving a brief glimpse of the Galaxy F's final design. There may also be some idea of when the phone will go on sale later this year.
